Hello, I've been a happy ritalin user for about 2 years now, the generic. It has always worked fine for me, not talking about recreational but to control my ADD. I take two 20mg Extended-Release tablets a day. Today, after a long snafu with the pharmicists, i picked up my prescription and he mentionted to me that it's a different pill but "with the same active ingredient". It's all generic to me, so I took my pill and headed home. I started getting euphoria, like I had railed it..I was happy with everyone and everything..then I started getting very dizzy. I think it triggered a panic attack in me, but it was acting like I had just taken 5 or more and crushed them up first...
The pill is also a lot larger.

TL;DR Is the difference in generic ritalin brands noticeable or and I just bugging out?

have you confirmed the identity of the pill? here is a prescription pill identifier.

We do not allow pill identification on here, for the record. The site stirfry mentioned is a good place to ID pills if need be..

Now , the generic vs. brand name debate has been beaten to death about 93 times now. The difference between brand vs. generic, and even generic vs. generic, is purely binders/fillers/shapes/color. The active ingredient is the exact same thing.

That is it.

That.
Is.
It.

The difference in binders and fillers can potentially effect the breaking down and absorption speed of the pill. But the active ingredients are the same.

I am not sure why you felt such a difference in effects. Check the pill ID website and make sure they DID give you 20mg ER generic ritalin. It is a slight possibility that the pharmacists MAY have given you the IR pills or something, but that is a slim chance.

There are many variables which could have attributed to what caused the effects you achieved today. Food eaten, acidity of the stomach, other medications or something you took today, low blood sugar, lack of proper nutrition/hydration... the list goes on..

This isn't really OD material but I'll leave it open for a few so you can reply if need be, but this will more than likely be closed.
