Stimulants ritalin and gas/bloating

Hey guys, whenever I shoot some ritalin I get the most intense uncomfortable gas/bloating. This happen to anyone and any cures?

no but I am filtering through backloading syringe. micron filters on the way

it is probably just an effect of the drug.

Have you tried taking Tums?

I get gas/diarrhoea from ritalin. Just take some loparamide orally 5-30 mins before the injection and you should be right.

Yeah I have been taking some gas/bloating meds and that seems to work best

edit: didn't realize loparamide is OTC, thanks for the tip

Omeprazole is a Proton Pump Inhibitor available over the counter that may help you considerably. Taking this every morning you plan to dose will do wonders for settling your stomach. The best thing to have handy is a liquid anti-gas suspension that you can use when the symptoms have already presented themselves.

why are you shooting this, why? if you dont mind, what motivates you to do this?

Sorry to revive a long-dead discussion. But if the OP is still around (probably not as I see he's not been active), just wanted to add my two cents - I get the same thing from speed (racemic amph). Thought it was a GI reaction, eg irritating stomach lining, so started plugging it, but still get the same reaction (although a bit less severe). Very annoying, and doesn't feel healthy.

Clearly this is a pharmacological issue if injecting has the same effect. Heard somewhere that amphetamines decrease blood flow to the stomach, and I assume ritalin has a similar effect - maybe something to do with this? .

By the way I do take omeprazole daily (only 10mg but enough to stop any GERD), so that's no cure. Might look into other options, eg liquid suspension suggested above. Anyone else get this? Any other suggestions?

To the person above who asked why he's shooting ritalin...errrrr, probably to get high? Not that it is something I'd do myself!
