Risperidone ???

I wish just to know some basic knowledge of this substance, I know its used to cure schizophrenia but dont really know anything about it besides that. I have read a few trip reports on erowids and was wondering if anyone has had any good expierences with this drug?? Also would it be harmful to mix his drug with concerta (ADD/ADHD medicine) or someone who has been on wellbutrin daily for the past few months. All information is much appreciated!
 
it is not used to cure schizophrenia because you cant cure schizophrenia, mainly because there is alot we dont understand about the disease and how it works....its just used to help the effects of that disease.

If you would like basic knowledge of this substance you should start by looking in the basic places.
Do a search on google.
Read the prescribing information on drugs.com.
Use the interactions checker there as JamesBrown suggested.
Read the information on wikipedia.
Basically if you want some basic information on the substance try some basic reading. :)

Regardless I'm not quite sure what your asking about in terms of this substance.
If your asking if it's recreational the answer is NO.
Either way I'm not quite sure how/if this fits into the scope of OD.
Unless you would like to rephrase your question or I'm misunderstanding your question (which is quite possible I'm nowhere near infallible).
It would appear your question has been answered.

I was prescribed risperidone about 5 years ago. I was having sleeping problems though ... and even though it made me sleep like a baby i quickly stopped taking it. It made me feel like a complete zombie. Like stated by other posters, it has no recreational value. I would def. consult a doctor about mixing it as well.

If youre trying to mix it w/ ADHD medication for recreation purposes, i'd advise against that. As for wellbutrin, i was on that when prescribed risperidol.
 
like seroquel, i'd only take risperidone if i had schizophrenia or to knock me out after heavy methamphetamine use. although i've never taken risperidone(never really felt the need to as i'm not insane).

i think seroquel would actually be better, but still antipsychotics aren't drugs to attempt to get high off of.
 
Risperidone is very similar to Seroquel. I don't have schizophrenia and I was prescribed it a few years ago for paranoia due to bipolar. It was also due to amphetamine abuse because every time I took over 90 or 120mg of Adderall I became afraid that the neighbors were trying to kill me. Now that I'm on Seroquel I can take all the amphetamine I want without worrying that the neighbors are trying to kill me. It is good for comedowns, nothing else.

i was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when i was a teenager, but i was never perscribed an antipsychotic and the doctor my parents were taking me to didn't know i was doing blow in his bathroom so i don't think i'm actually bipolar.

you're right about seroquel being good for comedowns, although i only use it after heavy crystal meth use. seroquel always knocks me out and gets rid of the desire to binge due to it's dopamine antagonist effects, but i still think its a bit "hardcore".

for oral amphetamines and cocaine comedowns i simply sedate myself on benzos, oxys, and whisky. :D

Theres actually alot of off-label uses some dicotors like to prescribe them for, not just "insanity".
