Surely that's got to be the end of The Simpsons now. Matt Gröning can't carry on without Sam Simon, any more than he could have carried on without Nancy Cartwright.

It was a bit of a surprise because he just adopted a gay bull which was destined for slaughter, over here.

Although I no longer watch the show because it has had to evolve into something less palatable to me.

I'll always remember the glory days when the show had a real emotional element to it, when you were invested in the characters' stories. Today the characters are almost completely two dimensional.

I haven't watched Simpsoms in 10 years. That's the problem with these things, knowing when to stop them before they lose their spark.

I think Simon left after series four, so that might be why. Groening has been without Simon for over a decade, Julie, so I'm sure there'll be another series.
