RIP Neal Casal

What a bummer, one of my favorite guitarists and he was just at Lockn this weekend.

Was lucky to catch him with Ryan Adams & The Cardinals, Hardworking Americans, Chris Robinson Brotherhood and Circles Around The Sun.

Super bummed about this one. He was set to release a bunch of new music.

RIP Neal.

Its amazing how music impacts some of our memories. I remember getting off the tram steamboat 95 opening day. The local radio station or a promoter was handing out CDs. I randomly picked Niels.. I played it and said damn thats good. I played it for an amazing woman I was seeing. Shes like wtf is this with a giggle.. A little while later i found she started listening to him. Later on I meet him because he is playing with Chad in HWA.

So I got this rush of memory.. Triggered by CS posting his paasing. I remember the a time i slept with her.. I remember thinking someone pinch me.. This smokeshow is outa my leage.. That album was playing. I remember a turn on the way from fort collins to the steamboat blanketed in early fall snow. I remember the time i rolled a ford ranger with no gas cap and she picked me up. I remembered Mark Vann. I remembered the north 40 and times spent there. I still have the disc and in fact its loading up now
