RIP HUnter Thompson

Man sends shivers thrue my body just readin bout it.....IF any of you have seen the extras of F and L or his bibliography I wonder if hes gonna go thrue with his dreams of when he died about gettin cremated and shot into the sky then blown up in one big firework
 
I don't think anyone on these boards will ever forget this man.

it's strange, i had just finished reading "fear and loathing in las vegas" after watching the movie several times when my dad actually told me that thompson had killed himself. it was just a complete jaw-drop for me. i'd just finished the last page of the book not 20 minutes before!
the first thing i said was "really?!" and the second was "well, i guess he had all those guns around..."
i never even considered it for you, man. RIP Hunter.
 
I have heard that he had received news that his bones had become dangerously brittle and then, true to his ideology of Hemingway, he took himself while he could and before he couldn't live up to himself. I am both incredibly sad that such a great mind has left us and a little reassured that he went out in true Gonzo style.
