RIP Brian Wilson

never got into them beyond appreciating some harmonies

I've seen Brian Wilson cited as an influence by many musicians though and it appears he had quite the life - so kudos to him for reaching his 80's

yeah that's a cool tune granted

so, as I'm gonna be up working til stupid-o-clock tonight I'm gonna listen to a BB or BW album at some point in the evening in tribute - I'll check back in a cpl hours to see if anyone's got any strong vouches for probably my only ever full-album listen-in of Brian's sounds

i have not seen it for years but i remember really enjoying grace of my heart - with the great illeana douglas - which has characters inspired by, or based on, the beach boys.

RIP Brian Wilson I am a big Beach Boys fan. They created their own sound and genre of music.

Parody is significant, yet you got to consider the nature of the parody.
Brian Wilson would never be portrayed as a Schizophrenic abused by his father, caught in an Entertainment industry of "sink or swim" yet, a uniquely, unattractive actor got the 'opportunity' to parody him as George Clooney/Brad Pitt make too much money, as attractive cash cows (plus if an industries going to sell actors; you got to put your best narcissistic foot forward & hold them for the front cover of their success, 'front page' )- hence, they 'relate' to the common person through parody of a genuine individual (exploit public's insecurity), by portraying a flawed person whose persona was inflated by ... (Trumpets)Hollywood (money talks), then deflating their status - image dictators, PR agents, Bullshitartists. Superficiality, is sold. Cuntish culture is processed. The PR is washed/laundered (& sold to idiots) . $$$ 😉

One of the mentally ill- they couldn't capture to recruit to the army.😉
