Ringing in my ears - Liver not happy?

I've heard that ringing in the ears can be caused by the liver not fully processing acetaminophen, asiprin, or such things.

I've had this annoying symptom for about a week now, after a weeklong binge of a few different things, a few of them containing Acetaminophen, APAP, and Chlorapheniramine.

My two questions are, are high levels of these a possible cause of the ringing, and two, if so, how do I go about getting it out of my system?

Have you looked past the easy explanation of tinnitus from loud noises?

I imagine you haven't, but it's worth mentioning.

Get a blood test.

Some drugs can occasionally cause it. APAP is not top of the list (or on it at all, really...) Aspirin however can cause tinnitus sometimes, but this is unrelated to the liver. A few other drugs can too but by far the commonest cause is wax, followed my noise exposure (mine is due to my tendency to dance right in front of the bass bins at raves hah..) It is also associatied with HPPD (although not much is known about that condition) and an array rarer of medical conditions which your doctor can talk to you about if you wish.

If it is noise exposure related I would wholeheartedly encourage you to get some decent ear plus - you can get some that don't muffle the music and protect your ears :)

As Trips said you should get yourself to the doctor and have your ears examined. Good luck!

Man I had some crazy tinnitus after the last Rusko show a couple weeks back. Ears were ringing for 3 days straight.

Plenty of room for Archer jokes though. :D

Archer <3

I have it permanently now, doesn't bother me too much but it def gets worse after a 6 hours in front of some speakers. Get some specialist earplugs people, it's not worth losing your hearing!

OP, hope it goes okay at the doctors.
