Ridiculous yet quick tramadol question

I am an IV heroin user for going on more than a few years now and seem to have hit my first road block so to speak. I am out of benzo and subs but have a ton of these 50mg tramadol laying around. Needless to say I've never used them since I usually always have dope on hand.. not today, so, how many should a veteran IV dopefiend use to feel ok? If any?

I assume these can't be rigged but if I'm wrong on this please let me know. I was going to just go ahead and pop 500mg see how that works at first.
 
Tramadol can cause seizures in large doses (>400mg). It also is a very "dirty" opiate that acts on serotonin and norepinephrine as well as the opiate receptors, so be prepared for it to be a different experience than H.

It really depends on how much you use regularly. Try 200 or 300mg and maybe add another 100 if you really need it. Don't expect to catch a buzz.
 
Last thing I'm expecting is to catch a buzz, I just popped 500mgs hopefully that will curb the dope sickness for 6 hours until I can re-up. First time in years the pisas have been out of dope.. fucking beaners you know?
 
Did you miss the part about doses over 400mg causing seizures? If you've never done tramadol before you're going to feel real strange...

ARE YOU NUTS????

You can NEVER take more than 400mg without a big risk of seizures.

It isn't like other opiates as it also works on seratonin(sp?)

You can use up to 400mg to help with WD but it won't help you if you go overboard.

I will be praying for you.
 
I don't think I'll be having any seizures today but thank you for the concern.. however bad the +100mgs might be I actually feel rather well compared to earlier, there might be something to these things.

I ended up just taking 500mgs before I even bothered to check for replies, you know how it is, now I know to just go with 400 next time though.
 
for people freaking out about him going over 400mg, ive heard of people having a gram of trams and still be fine, and ive had 550mg and been totally fine because 400 does nothing for me
 
my answer dont expect to feel anything slight chance it could help with w'ds but i doubt it. remember this is a synthetic derivative of codiene and barelt tickles opiate recepters

Seizures triggered from tramadol can occur at any dose. People on this board have reported seizures when taking below 400 mg. This can be because of other drug interactions that lower the threshold, medical predisposition to seizure, etc...

Yes it is rare but it does happen so it is probably wise to understand your own personal risk.

Statistically there is a spike in the risk above 400 mg. That is why the manufacturer recommends 400 mg as the maximum amount in a 24 hour period.

Yes, there are people that take grams of this stuff daily and pull it off. However just because you don't seize today on a specific dose doesn't mean you won't seize tomorrow on the same dose or next week for that matter. Some mix in Anticonvulsants to raise the threshold which should lower the risk but in the end who really knows?

I had a small habit (oxys, 80mg-120mg/day) that I had to quit cold turkey from; it was the morning of day 4, hadn't had any sleep whatsoever the night before because I had been puking literally every 20-30 minutes, I was miserable, I wanted to die. I noticed my dad's dog had a script to these. I didnt know really anything about them other than Ive heard they were an opiate, so I did my google research to find out that it helps with withdrawl.

I popped a few and continued to stare at the toilet for the next 30 minutes until they started to kick in - that was an AMAZING feeling (not being sick anymore that is... theres no way to get high off them when you got a tolerance, well maybe but its not enjoyable). Anyway, I went to bed that night starting to feel bad again. When I woke up, I was feeling so much better... I still had the diarrhea for the next day or so, but mentally, I was so hyped-up and happy bcuz I knew it was over, lol

I took Tramadol while detoxing from a smaller habit of oxy, you best believe it helps with W/Ds, it saved my ass!
 
I actually used it for methadone WD and it worked pretty damn well. I was only dropping off of 10-20mg a day but the ultram helped with the symptoms a lot better than I expected.

You can very well have seizures off of anything over 400. You might get away with it for a while but it can hit you at any time.....
