Rhodiola and Tramadol - possible bad interaction?

I take rhodiola 500mg every morning before breakfast.
Amongst my random google readings, I just saw that it has MAO-A inhibitor properties.
I also like to take Tramadol. Which has SNRI properties.
Is this a bad combo? Or will they just kind of cancel each other out?

MAOI's and SNRI's shouldn't be mixed.

I definitely wouldn't take the risk for Tramadol..

Thanks :)

I don't have them at the same time, in fact they're spaced out a few hours apart..
Today there was at least 6 hours between morning Rhodiola and afternoon Tramadol.
Does that make any difference at all?
Or would you suggest avoiding the combo altogether within a 24 hour period?

The problem with natural extracts is that they're going to contain a huge amount of different chemicals, all with different half lives and metabolic pathways, so it's difficult to say how long is the right amount of time to wait. However, most MAOI's tend to have a very long half life and effect, so I wouldn't recommend doing Tramadol on the same day.

Cheers, nAON.
I'm glad I stumbled on the info about Rhodiola being a MAOI.
It's not listed as an interaction on any of the interaction checking sites.
