hi, I'm lola, and i'm the new kid... stardust was awesome. i wish i wouldve looked at this forum before I had gone so maybe I wouldve looked out for some of you, but yea it was a great night. even worth the $30 to get in.
 
i had a great time... the venue was HUGE there were LOTS of people there...

danny and phantom 45 were AWESOME. period.

glaude and feelgood- wow. i don't know that i've ever witnessed that much energy from the two of them. they tagged an AWESOME set and you could tell they were really feeling the whole evening.

swamp was okay, but too many technical problems at the beginning lost my interest quick...

Infinity? (the guy before swamp) was uber- high energy, lots of fun to watch and was doing a great job. i also caught
Seuss- in the smallest room, and he was rockin' it out as well.

Left the room when Anne came on, but did anyone else notice the iceskating rink on her finger?? 8o

the lighting/lasers- OHMYFUCKINGGAWD! yeah, those were incredible.

overall, awesome party. would've been nice to have the parking lots cleared (and a little closer) and it would've been great not to have to wait outside as long as we did considering it was about 9 degrees and windy, but whatever.

arron, terry, curtis, kyle, freak, jailbait and the others- good to see you all there... hope to see you all again too.

^^im glad all my friends that i came with had a good time because i did not! Thanks for being there because without all you guys i would not have made it through the night sane.

The venue was big and awesome, nice sound and lights in every room. I didnt listen to many djs extensively, but danny the wildchild and phantom 45 TORE it up! Very nice set that made it worth my trip. Swamp was awesome as well once shit got worked, throwing down some sick wicked basslines. Buts where the fun stopped.

What happened to the 18+ age limit and security at the door? It seems that everyone under the age of 18 managed to make it in. And what happened in trying to stop the MASSIVE amount of drugs that came through the front door( or back door?)? I swear every person in there was rolling, whether they were 16, 32, or even that big tall security guard who was getting his back rubbed and a light show. Come on now, be smarter than that. I seriously have NEVER seen SO MANY FUCKED UP people at a party. And its not like i really have a problem with what other people do, but when you are stupid, rude, ignorant, and just plain a dumbass, you really piss me off. There was a stupid rolling kid that sat on my friend in the back room against the wall, then moved over an inch, crowded us, broke out a bag of pills and sold this girl one right in front of me. I let him do his thing and then grabbed him by the back of shoulders and almost pushed him into the ground. I confronted him about and told him not to be fucking stupid and dont be rude to people, and you wanna know what he had to say? "You're killing my rollll mannnnnnn." Just like that. If i was in a shittier mood i wouldve had candy kid allll over my shoes cuz i was about to beat shit about him.

So needless to say, i didnt have a good time because of the poeple and the drugs. My friends that i came to town with, and the 3 djs i enjoyed is where i had fun, thanks for coming.

So im not coming back to chicago any time soon, and i highly doubt than anyone will see me at a party again unless its in indy and theres some drum n bass. I am done with this shit and the fucking morons that accompany it. Its been a good 6 years andits time to end. much love to all my kids

yo, the party was straight out of sight! so many kids from across the country comin out to have a good time. it was mad mad cold but just the same.. wildchild and phantom 45 ripped it up.. i met this AWESOME candi kid brandin from kansas city and got a rollercoaster... i could go on but you would prolly take my candy away and make me sit outside

I had a pretty damn good time up in Chi Town....walked right in, so I didn't have to deal with the cold as much...Still was freezing balls....but what do you expect in the windy city? I thought the club was awesome...the sound in the main room was alittle fucked up in the beginning of the night, but it got better. Feelgood and Glaude set was amazing...awesome vibe...Caught alittle of everyone's set...from what I heard, there was awesome music everywhere. I met alot of really cool people, and just had an all around good time. Cheers and hope to see everyone next weekend for Dave Ralph.

I thought the party was unbelieveable. A few sound problems and Curtis was right, the drugs were a lil out of hand. And some of the candy kids were gettin on my nerves.

That was the first time I've seen most of that talent. And I was just wowed by most of it. Glaude and Feelgood just knocked my socks off. So much energy it was ridiculous. Frankie, Adam, and Heart were pretty good but i felt they coulda done better. I didnt even see Phantom, Danny, or Baby Anne. Humpty Vission did a great job.

I tell you what it definitely didnt suck to have guest list lol. I wouldve killed myself if i wouldve had to wait in that cold ass weather. This Florida boy cant handle it lol.... Oh and did the entrance seem really unorganized to anyone else? Oh well.....

Hope to do it again sometime...

Key to that venue.............just tell them that you are on the Guestlist and you can walk right in, well at least to the ticket stand, and either a.) act like you were supposed to be on someones list and when they can't find your name just pay.....or b.) just pay. :) Works everytime......
 
Get ready for some bitching....

FUCKING WHACK!.... there were so many fucking drugs and glow sticks i felt dirty... but apperently security is only worried about it if you are dressed in black and are walking to the main stage kinda fast, that is suspicious... cause of my quick pace i apperently was considered to be a drug dealer evading security... never mind the kids with binkis in their mouths counting up their money...

Security proceeded in violating me (the poor sober tired hung over kid) 3 times with full out searches... they find nothing at all and I FUCKING GET KICKED OUT IN THE COLD! for actually trying to listen to the god damned music and avoid ugly ass lil kids that blink.... I stood outside bitching for 2 hours asking to talk to a promoter and not one could come out and assist... I hope all the people involved with that parties mothers get hit by busses.

Oh yeah by the way (to those promoters) since i couldnt get the kid i came with out of the party cause i wasnt alowed in and no one was willing to get you outside i had to stay outside in the 9 degree temp plus wind chill, do to lack of gas and no money... I now have fucking pnemonia and i will be filling suit as soon as my medical bills are all calculated. And my family has great fucking lawyers and ill be in more personal contact real soon.

To the Staff of oasis. Its nice that you appologized to one of my friends about your boss being a shmuck and not letting me stay but i will also be looking in to the private property search laws in that area because i sure as hell never saw a sign that said you are subject to being publicly humiliated in front of the hole line and escorted through a party like i was actually caught dealing... I actually do have a reputation of not being a fuckin stupid druggie at parties but ya kinda fucked that up for me and i as it could cost me money in the future i might also have a case for that too... so fucking stew in shit you cock monkeys

oh yeah diva d and jes one rawked but i didnt get to see any one else... Oh yeah and a big fuck you to everyone who was supposed to call me right after they got out of the party and didnt call me till hours afterwards... see curtis not every one you were up there with had a good time

On the side note, yes the security were bitches, yes the heat was horrible in side and the cold was rediculous outside, and yes the drug use was well to say the least noticeable, but I just toned it out and lived in my own world as much as i possibly could. Surrounded myself with great people and decided I was going to have a great night regardless. I hope everyone had somewhat of a great night, and i understand some didn't and I'm sorry that happened. I had a blast... Didn't get to see everyone I wanted due to the fact of overlapping time slots, but I got to see enough to make the drive worth it :) I meet a bunch of awesome peeps from all over which was super...

I was lucky/smart enough to buy presales so fortunatly i didn't have to wait outside like it seems most people had to.. But yes security sucked.. I heard a couple horror stories at the afterparty.. I personally thought it was stupid that they confiscated my Chapstick.. seeing as how that was the only substance i am addicted to and abuse on a regular basis... I was soo lost w/out it... But i made it through and managed to have a hell of a time..

As for the drug usage I didn't find it to be any worse than most of the other parties i have been too... the security didn't seem to strict on searching @ the door .. at least for us... they let me bring everything i had in (ie camera and whatever was in my pocket w/o looking at them) and only took my chapstick and gum. They didn't even go through our bag... But then again i wasn't exactly looking for drug activity I have accepted that it will be there..

The only other problem i had was that there seemed to be a lot of rude people there... maybe just cuz a lot of peeps were drinking.. But i was shoved around all night by many many peeps who obviously had to be somewhere and had no time to say sorry or even give a sorry gesture like at most parties... Also had my friend get shoved into a wall and trash can by some chick.....

Oh well it was still a hell of a time and the Best Western was a little crazy too!!
 
kent told me you were being chased by a crazy candy kid ryan. i guess there was some truth to that! haha. i tried to stay away from the security as did ryan but to no avail. raw deal and i hope your ass sues em. letme know if u need any witnesses ;) after i got back from the party to my hotel, i immediately left town as i wanted nothing to do with chicago. the drive home was the most peaceful time i had!
 
Wow! sure glad i didn't go to this party. all i have heard are horror stories. and ryan i'll vouch for you. you may happen to be a lush, however you're no blinking etarted kandy kid.

i heard horror stories of kids passing out from heat exhaustion, how completely over crowded and way above capacity it was, and how long they made all you kids wait outside in the freezing cold.

i'm sorry to those who didn't have fun...
i hope overall i was misinformed, but i doubt it.
 
that place was NO WAY over capacity... they were full but no packed AT ALL. there was room for prob 1-2 thousand more people... and it was hot, but not *that* how. i wore my hoodie most of the time i was there. the water in the bathrooms was working just fine too...

i will say that we *did* have presales and still had to wait outside which sucked...

as far as drugs goes... iunno, it was nowhere as bad as SHINE (2001) and like kyle, i just tuned it out...
 
Yeah, I had presales too and had to wait for A WHILE outside in the cold... but it was definitely worth the wait...I'm sorry not everyone had as much fun as me...

I met a lot of cool ass kids and I really think it was almost how parties used to be... who cares if there was lotsa drugs? That's everywhere ya go (but I do understand the annoying and inconsiderate factor... luckily I wasn't subject to that..) I also think the place was in no way overcrowded and I haven't seen anyone get searched or harrassed... however, I was being followed around by security for a while which kinda made me feel weird, but other than that... I haven't had so much fun at a party in years... I wish more people felt the same way...
 
i'm with curtis 100%, i'm glad someone else thought there was an escessive amount of people rolling there.... i thought it was all in my head or that i had gone above and beyond the call of jaded.

all in all, this entire weekend sucked and continues to clusterfuck at least the next seven days of my life if not more

shopping was nice and seeing my friends was good, but that's about where the fun stopped (that and the dnb, phantom 45 and danny rocked the place :) )

imo, there was just way too much of the same music, but i knew that going in, next time i'll pay a little closer attention and save myself the trouble.
