Looks like another great OH-ho-ho party guys. I see two of my favorites Josh TF1 and JJ Boogie are spinning. I'd love to make it out, but I have committments to my Saturday weekly in Chicago, but I am sending Joe Black (a very good budding Tech House deejay by the way) out to check things out on my behalf. I hope good times are had by all!

Cheers!
Chuck

This looks like a sick ass party with talent that is not generally around the area, if I was not already back at school I would be there for sure. I wonder what venue they are planning on using because there are not generally parties at the gym club in the summer, and I thought the roller dome was closed down. Either way this is going to be a fun night.

i just realized how mcuh funky house and tekno there was at this party... so refreshing (compared to other line-ups that were DnB and trance heavy) that I am actually coming out....

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! DO NOT..i repeat DO NOT leave early...I beg you all to come see me play from 5-6 in the second room at the end of the night. i promise not to disappoint. i have some dope ass tracks i ve never played out before surely to astonish you all!:D

^^^^hey you remember me?
*cries a big ball of tears*
wish i was in dayton right now!
denny.... and the rest of the crew, have a kick ass time, and be careful!
jessica :p

YYYYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH review time YEAH!!

Got there @ 1030 and checked out the venue. THe main area to dance was dirt. They have changed the rollerdome into a motorcross track. So when you walk in you have to go to the one opening on the track and then make your way to the stage. I was stepping in divots, hills, groundhog holes, etc. Once you got there, if you could hang more than a 1/2 hour your a pimp. SOOOOOOO much dust from people dancing!!!!!! My clothes are filthy and brown. Hope all your washing of your threads goes well.
Couldnt smoke inside cause all the hay. I think I saw about 5 chairs in the whole venue. The second roome was nicer, and where I spent almost all of my time. BIG system for such a little room. It was nice to be able to go outside and enjoy a perfect summer night.

Anyways a dj rundown:

GRAVITRON GIRL
She spun a decent set. I kind of heard her on and off, but when I was in there, all sounded good.

JOSH "THE FUNKY ONE"
His set sounded good, as for his scratching. Im wasnt all that crazy about his song selection. I spent the other half of his set outside catching some fresh air!!!

BAM BAM
He did just that!!! Hard beats, tight scratching, and nice song selection. Lots of dust flying for his set. thats good though.

I wanted to hear Mixin Marc, but the system died like 30 seconds into his set. I left to the other room, but wonderd when they got the system back up again.

SKILLZ
He spun a real good song selection. Speed garage with dope ass basslines. He had 1 major flaw on the beat mixing. Other than that, great set!!!

JJ BOOGIE v. OOMPA LOOMA
Set of the night. Some excellent music being spun here. Lots of people crammed into the little room to hear it as well.

Wandered around til about 530. D8As stuff was hard, as usual. REVEREND DEF LEPPER kinda scared me. He opend up his set with what seemed to be forever of some stuff that maked me wish I was deaf.

Water $2, and it was cold . and you got the cap. Sound system was good when it didnt blow out. Probably too much dirt in the amplifier cooling fans. Vibe was good, not great.

Funniest moment of the night was when JJ BOOGIE v OOMPLA LOOMPA was on. They were tossing CDs out and this cat in front of my was screamin for one. It was tossed and nailed the dude right in the forehead. THe CD case busted and dude was in a daze. Maybe you had to be there.

Shoutouts to all who fought the dust, pregnant chick, and killa bees. keep bouncin.

well i cant say much right now due to sleep deprivation...but i m glad my music scared that pussy jacksmusic up above. i wish you were deaf too you sexy fuck you. next time come up to me and i will fondle your pee pee...thatll make you enjoy my music a little bit betta;)

thanks to all who came out the party...with the exception of it being a dust bowl and the air quality was worse than Cincinnati's on a hot summer day, the night was a success...

for industry professionals information, we actually made SOME money on the event which makes things look a bit more promising for the rest of the year and total in the door was around 700 or so...far cry from the numbers of last year, but still - not losing money helps when you start talking about doing another one...

i'd like to thank some key people for the night - bethany, beth, odie, mike, erica, matt t., gabe, matt (sound), kat, tiffany, jeff, and im sure there were a few more who helped us keep things running smooth...

from the bits an pieces I saw, Josh Da Funky 1 owned big time, Bam Bam was solid, and Matt Freeman rocked it with some serious old school AH...

i also had a really good time playing with Oompa - although that was one fast hour...def got to do it again...

all things considered, not too bad of a night and i know it seemed like everyone had a blast...

congrats chris on another successful installment...

i know im forgetting something or someone but oh well...

chris (d8a) hoepfully your ankle mends fast...nice closing track too dork...
