*Review* Indoor/Outdoor back up event April 17-18th - INFO INSIDE!

^ouch man lol. i dont think it was their fault. it was all the people on these sites saying bring whatever u want and get fucked up ..... and also the stupid people buying from people they dont know, aka uc cops. anyway skot got locked up for a while huh? ah well.... lol

This was not our fault at all.

The FBI organized a sting and made purchases with undercover agents.

We've had over 25 events over the last 32 months without any arrests or shut down parties until this point.

Many people told me that it was the best party they had been to in years.

oh i had a blast lol. the raid made it exciting for me. i didnt stop smiling and crackin jokes to the cops and everyone around me

if it wasnt your fault, then how the fuck do you explain a kilo of heroin and a shotgun? thats what im worried about, im not stressing about the cops, atf, whatever. i dont care about the party getting busted, im worried about my personal safety.

i dont see how a SHOTGUN could make it anywhere near or inside a party? if there wasnt a shotgun or heroin, then im sorry about my comments and take them back. but if not, that leaves me a little worried.

^good point .... next time a party like that is thrown we should have a mandatory look through the trunk and under the seats... i dont wanna have to worry bout an armory rollin through the gates.

IF there was heroin, which I doubt, there certainly wasn't a kilo. The police had no way to test chemicals and were not weighing anything.

Someone was pulled over near the venue with a shotgun in their car. The police claimed to have seen the car leave the venue, which is highly unlikely since they were not on site until they rushed in. Many vehicles in rural Butler counties have shotguns in them.

There has been a lot of speculation and many false rumors have gotten out. Many of these were provoked by comments made by the cops themselves who were for the most part clueless rednecks.

^this actually wouldnt surprise me if they were just spreading rumors to destroy whats left of our reputation. although they did get a lot of drugs there im sure it wasnt as bad as they say.

well good riddance to the dumb druggies who get caught ;)

nonetheless, it looks like you did what you could and am glad nobody found a shotgun at your venue. i am very glad the original event was canceled, because there would have been a TON more people there, including me, if it hadnt.
better luck next time!

woot!

altered, thanx for the info... quite claritive. I kinda figured as much, but the rumors spread so fast, even within the ranks of the police.

tgunn, its not that we are just lulling over the the bad times, it actually helps for other producers to get a feel of what they can do to not have shit like this happen to them

PawpNLawk, if its the scene's rep your're worried about, try watching television sometime. the media is doing a pretty damn good job without us helping with them. They throw out anti-drug-related propaganda seeming aimed directly at the scene (aka the chick that falls on the dance floor and no one come to help her...). if its the rep of the production co. they're not going to be hosting another rave... ever(by choice, not legal restraint.).

EternalX, considering the venue, there quite easily could have been a shotgun near the site, but I still find it hard to believe that someone would purposly bring an arsenal to a party. It was a large block of land out in a rural setting.

for the most part, if you had nothing... the cops did nothing... so I find it hard to believe that of any group, they would have to power to spoil the fun of people who just wanted to chill, dance, and listen to music. One girl in particular comes to mind. The music started, she danced, the cops showed up, she danced, the djs left and the cops all but extinguished the bon-fire... got really cold, she danced...

some of you may find this immature or idiotic. why?, she was havin fun even amidst chaos and LOTS of fear. Granted this could be a sign of many things... but she didn't get a citation or get arrested... thats my point.

i totally agree with that girl .... when tthe cops were there, and the rest of the time, i had a great time. in fact it was one of the best parties in a while ive gone too.

misfortune

Josh...so sorry to hear about this chain of events. as a promoter i know that sometimes there are things you just can't do anything about, like people having guns or drugs. you can say all you want on the flyer discouraging the such but people will be people. it shouldn't fall on the shoulders of the promoco. individuals who believe that obviously also support the "federal crackhouse stature", a new loophole law that states that whatever feds find on whoever at any event, from a full-blown concert-style rave to a backyard barbecue, the promoters can be charged and prosectued accordingly. obviously outlooks such as these can be devastating to our culture, not to mention our civil rights (i.e. Bill of Rights amendments, freedom of assembly rights, reasonable doubt laws, etc). so before you start in on focalpoint (which is a reputable company in the MW, i happen to know a couple of those cats), try to separate what really is the truth from what is not (and i know some of you have been in trouble with "the law" before, you know how the cops can be, separating the accused and systematically lying to them). just trust your synchronicity is what i'm trying to say...

good luck in the future...scitek

im thinkin you got lucky actually dude... your lucky you didnt get slapped in cuffs and have like 150000 dollar fine... real fuckin lucky... who cares if some dirty dumb ravers get busted but when the promoter has to pay for it like that... that would suck... id say this is an obvious warning for any one throwing aparty make sure you are not hot... dea was at for the ladies and now this... ohio is startin to scare me... DAMN THE FUCKIN MAN!

skott apperently was in possesion of rolls coke acid shards weed and a piece.... thats what i heard... doesnt make it right... he could be not even in jail... nothing is certain... especially when it comes down the dirty raver grape vine

^^^
its SHIT like that, that is gettin us all in trouble and hurting the scene. Discussion of drugs and other illegal matters should be LEFT OFF OF MESSAGEBOARDS. Please take such matters to email or PM. thank you

people like that deserve to get busted if they bring that kind/amount of drugs to a party. he was talkin past tense. obviously the cops already know about it. and im glad they disposed of that....

Yeah i wasnt tryin to downplay what happened but we all need to learn from this shit and move on......I didnt see alot of unity sat but go figure. Alot of shit needs to change on these message boards period.....do not talk about drugs period cuz that is what all this shit boils down to anyway. When cops hear rave they think drugbust....and that will never change. And most of the general public think of drugs first when they hear "rave". WE CANT CHANGE THAT. And it kills me to hear people on here sounding mad because there are drugs at parties......what r u people thinking??????? They are raves for crying out loud......Drugs have been at raves since the beginning and guess what? They are going to continue to be there. If you dont want them there then get your own badge and do something about it. We all have to stick together when shit like this happens and not point fingers......We are all guilty at least a little bit.....cuz if you think the police and powers that be dont get on here and read our comments then your nuts. And again i hope every one from sat is ok. :\

Oxford Township rave results in 55 arrests/4-20
By Whitney Ellis
OXFORD TOWNSHIP — A rave on Stillwell Beckett Road Saturday night resulted in 55 arrests, according to the Oxford Police Department.

A majority of arrests were for possession of drugs, said Oxford Township Police Chief Preston Schrock. He said the event was a “significant drug party.”

“I found a flyer in town that it would be at Camp America,” Schrock said. “I checked the Web site and saw the event had been changed. They posted directions using MapQuest and everything.”

The event was organized by Basis Productions, a Cincinnati business which booked the bands for the show, Schrock said.

Six law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at 6901 Stillwell Beckett Road at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday after Butler County drug agents made several purchases of illegal drugs.

“We expected 400 people, but only more than 200 were in attendance,” Schrock said.

Ten people were arrested on felony charges, which included drug trafficking, weapons charges, drug possession and tampering with evidence, police said.

Forty-five people were arrested on misdemeanor charges, which include drug abuse, firearms violations, underage consumption, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Three people were arrested for misdemeanor counts of drug abuse and underage possession of alcohol.

Additional charges are pending, Schrock said. No court dates have been set, he said.

Three weapons were seized at the rave, Schrock said. One of those seized was a sawed off shotgun — an illegal weapon — which carries federal charges, he said.

Among drugs seized in the rave were marijuana, cocaine and a variety of hallucinogenic drugs, Schrock said. All of the drugs seized will be sent to the Miami Valley Regional Crime Lab for analysis and confirmation, he said

the police department mistook our event for nice dreams and credits basis productions for the production of the event. seems they had this planned before Plan B was in action.
