Mods, please keep this open.

As many of you already know, there are some tremendous roadblocks and complications in the plans for NICE DREAMS. Serious problems started just less than a week ago. For the last 5 days myself and many others have put a lot of thought and effort into determining if it was still possible to make this event. After reviewing the event notebook and seeing how much was still left to be done for the party we determined that it was not in our best interest to put investors at such a high risk by continuing with the event. Due to the unfortunate circumstances we have been faced with, NICE DREAMS is CANCELLED. Anyone involved with the event (artists, staff, vendors, sound, lights, etc.) can contact me at [email protected] if you would like more information. I will be contacting most of you directly as I am able to.

We are aware that due to the fact that the venue is listed on the flyer and many people do not get online that some people may still be driving from out of town or out of state to attend NICE DREAMS. We are also aware that there was a lot of excitement and anticipation for this event.

As a result of this, several of us are collaborating to organize a "back-up" event less than 5 miles from Camp America where NICE DREAMS was supposed to be located.

Not sure if this needs a seperate thread as you've already put the info in the orginial event thread, but I understand you are trying to organize a backup plan (I edited the title for you). Let us know if you need us to edit/close the other thread or if you want to keep the backup plan organized in the same thread - whichever you think might catch people's attention more and get them to the correct place and time. Sorry about the change of plans - hope the backup works out.

ltj ownz but camping parties are almost always more fun than clubs, for me at least.

mickey finn is dope but there is a whole new generation of kids that don't give a shit about headliners and all that. they just want somewhere to here some tunes, party with their friends, and relax.

Props to focalpoint for bringin something together for this weekend...

I'll be dropping some deep house on the indoor stage at 4pm...should have some CDs to hand out as well...

campout scene

too bad for this event...sounded like great times...

for those still interseted in campouts, check BL for a couple doozies comin up : Back 2 Our Rooots 2 & Curdstock 4, both brought to you by Super America Entertainment...this summer! legal, safe, and 100% hapnin!

anybody who was booked for this who is still down to play at a campout this summer get at me...dj scitek %)

i feel bad for you guys on your original plans, sorry. i think it's great how you worked up an alternate plan. hopefully you all get the support you need and deserve. through my years in the scene i've learned a few things...there are alot of your local dj's that are just as good as alot of headliners out there. they just might not have the means or ways to "make it big" (and maybe just don't want to), another thing that has become important to me is support. instead of just going to a party, you're helping to keep the scene going. support your local promoters and dj's, they work hard to bring the music to you.

so who all is still heading out to this one... we had some new kidz coming with us and i think we are still interested in heading out there... i mean how else to start a good summer then with a some beats and some good friends??

edited, didn't realize ryan mack had signed on my comp.

Due to unfortunate circumstances it was thrust upon me.

I apologize to those who won't get a chance to play.

Let's make the best of it and have a great time anyway.
