Awesome party

For anybody that was there, you know this was the fattest party this year. I didn't even see Irene and Polywog....Loverboy absolutely killed it!!!!
So awesome, so many memories, and so many cool people. And when he dropped heaven sent the place exploded.....unbelieveable, unexplainable night. #10
 
I went..........had a humorous time watching all the E-tards up in the place. Hadn't seen that amount of large pupils in quite a long time. It was actually kinda sickining, but humorous at the same time. Even seen a midget getting a light show *thumbs up*.

The chick working the door needs to tone her bitchyness down a tad bit and learn how to read, but other than that had a decent time. Mostly the Chicago local regulars (from the parts I saw anyways) but Irene did bring a smile to my face for a bit. Watched about 45 minutes of her set, then decided to call it a night. First time seeing Irene, plus I got in free so thats really the only reason I went. Her set started off definatly w/ some high energy, but her first couple mixes were subpar. Seems she had the ol "backspin" a record to bring another one in" going for her the first couple mixes, but after that, it wasn't TOO bad. Kinda neat to hear her drop in Linkin Parks "Crawling" into her set.........I liked that.

Other than that, there wasn't really much to say, at least from my point and from what I saw. Chicago is definatly in its own style. No where near compairison to Indy, Cincy or Dayton.........just totally different. So don't ever go there expecting anything like you do down here. Although I did like the lil school girl discount thing they had going on. Kinda brought back memories of Hookers On Ice 2. lol
 
I was kinda disappointed in Polywog's set personally. I watched the dancefloor clear in 5 seconds flat w/ an 80s track she threw down. There was also quite a bit of straight up starting and stopping w/ the set, a wee bit disappointing and not in the least bit an energetic set. DJ Irene certainly kicked some ass!!! Nothing like dancing my ass off and then hearing some Linkin Park come screaming out the speakers. That was quite original. I was ultra annoyed by the amount of hoochies and their nasty ass std-ridden body parts hanging out everywhere, but whatcha gonna do. It was like Fredricks of Hollywood goes to Catholic school day or something. The security also sucked my ass hardcore. No joke, I asked a security man where I could find a set-list and he says, "What's a set list?" Ooook, so I try again. "Do you know when DJ Irene is going on?" Reply: "Who's that?" AAAHHH. So big dumb beefy security guys aren't the smartest cookies in the box, but the venue itself was pretty crazy, and Irene made up for most of the annoying shit.

:D what lead you to believe that polywog was going to do anything other than exactly that???? apparently djing means playing the most random tracks in the world, not mixing them what so ever, and being a huge freak:D

just fyi dj polywog is a character in a movie you saw, not a real dj with any kind of (good) reputation in the party scene.
