Return of Methaqualone?

If someone 20 years from now takes some E, and there is still only the same shit out there as there is now, they would definitely still feel like people today do, like with methaqualones, you still feel the same thing from it, but there are better things out there. That@s why we don´t know what all these `older` people are raving about. It doesnt have so much to do with context, as it has to do with what´s available. Ofcourse context will make a difference, in a time where it is hard to relax, someone will most probably choose for something that relaxes them, if you live in a time where it is normal to work till you drop, who can blame you for taking some upper to make sure you get through the day ok. If methaqualone really was that good, people would still like it now.

Some girls i know where at a party in TX and told me they had some queloods also and I was like what in 83' (when they were banned) but apparently it was that they said and i guess they are around, but i hate barbituates anyway

^^^Pentobarbital and sodium thiopenthal are pretty good, even though 30 years ago they were cheap, considered to be a shitty drug, and were very plentifull. Now their rarity increases their value, but i honestly do enjoy the high, far more than benzos. Unfortunately, they have a hangover like effect as well.

????? Kind of hard to like something that's unavailable, don't you think? (Of course I would bet I'd like screwing Cameron Diaz, but that's something else entirely.)

Have you ever had a lude? If not, can you be so sure that there's stuff that's so much better today? Besides, drug effects are a tad subjective; it's a bit presumptuous to say your tastes are definitive.

I think you missed my point about context entirely. Maybe you're too young to have things to look back on fondly and realize that that was then and this is now. For instance, even if I had access to ludes, I doubt I would go out with my buddies half tanked and battle each other with bottle rockets. Was it the ludes that made it fun? Or just the spirit of the moment. At any rate, I remember it as a great time I had on ludes.

Methaqualone isn't a barbituate, in fact it was created to replace the addictive qualities of barbituates like Seconal and Tuinal but failed miserablly, as it turned out to be just as addictive. I'm sure that you wouldn't think the same thing about barbs if you had the chance to try some of the harder ones that are pretty much only used for surgery like Seconal. The ones still prescribed for migraines all suck.

I don't understand why this has become a 'which drug is better' thread... I personally wanted to learn a little bit about methaqualone and had to shift through all sorts of belittling bullshit just to pick out the information. Wow, you like other drugs better then ludes, so do I, but I don't think that is what this thread set out to discuss. If people want to talk about how they loved ludes and wished they could find some, then let them, and don't be talking about how G and X is so much better ~ that is another discussion all togather.

Yeah, i'd like to try some ludes or G, but sadly neither are available.

It hasn't.
It's quite interesting. I would like to be able to enquire more about methaqualone. A friend in his 40's told me one lemmon 714 would really put you down. nothing amazing he said but sedating with a euphoric quality. He told me the benzo's and some old barbs but really even compare, he says there cold feeling, that methaqualone was very euphoric and warm feeling. It must have been it went from CII to CI. This is just one first hand account story i've been told.

The main point was that methaqualone isnt as great as most people are led for whatever reason to believe. I tried the drug myself, didnt think it was great, phreex said something similar, and "elbowguts" even admits that part of its zeal is its nostalgic value. What more do you want to learn about the drug?

One thing that I remember is the tolerance building quite quickly. Yeah, one might do the trick the firsty day a batch came in, but after a couple days of regular use, more were required to get anywhere fun.

I'm not sure I would say they were warm, but rather just more hilarious than the buzz you might get from valium. Everything seemed humorous. Laughter is something I associate with being on ludes.

Nope, never had a lude, but I hear people that did not do them "back in the day" and they sound unimpressed, if they were extremely good, why don`t they like them now? maybe there are better alternatives now, I mean, there is so much new stuff out there. I never had `m, don`t know if they`re any good, but it sounds to me like there are better things out there.
