There's a lot of built up resin in this tinfoil pipe (yea i know, not healthy) i have and i'm wondering the best way to get it off. It's caked on like dried tree sap..i broke off a rather small size-of-a-tictac chunk earlier and got hella baked. Getting it all off without creating a big mess and losing resin seems a problem. I thought about just melting it and drying it back into a ball..but i don't know how toxic that is considering the tinfoil.
 
well, its not gonna be much more toxic because of the tinfoil, but resi is not very healthy regardless, since its mostly tars and such from the butane, without much actual THC or other cannibanoids. You can smoke it if you're desperate, but id say do yourself a favor and toss it.

as for getting it off your pipe, the quick and obvious answer is just get a new pipe. you can generally find cheap glass ones for like $10. If that isnt possible, for whatever reason, try ether rubbing alcohol or vinegar with salt. Either liquid acts as a solvent, with the salt acting as a grit to scour the surface. this works well on glass, but admittedly I dont know what it will do to foil
 
use a knife to scrape it off and if you have to heat it a little bit with your lighter and i think itll make it softer or something and scrape it off
 
I can't believe anyone would use a tinfoil bowl that long, but uh why don't you just do what any normal person would do, its tin foil, just unroll it and shake all the resin out onto a plate and scrape it off.
 
1. Why are you using a tin foil pipe? Are you still in high school or something? Honestly, there are smoking implements 100x more effective for under $10 at your local tobacco shop.

2. Why do you want to smoke resin? It contains very little THC, and is mostly made up of the harmful tars that make weed less harmful than cigarettes (because it doesn't get to your lungs in the first place). Why would you want it there?
 
He's using tinfoil because he doesn't have a bowl (my dumbass friend got my bowl taken away by his parents) and he wants to smoke resin so he can get high. A full bowl of resin can get you a decent high.
 
you should tell your dumbass friend to go steal the value of your pipe from his parents...:\

and then go buy some weed ;)

If it got taken by parents, I'd honestly recommend holding off on using cannabis until you're out of high school. It's a cliche thing, I know, but you're better off focusing on putting yourself in a good university then smoking a bowl.

And as far as smoking resin goes: if you're desperate enough to get high to smoke resin, sit down and do some serious thinking about your habits.
 
well i had a killer glass bong from venice beach but obviously couldn't bring it on the plane ride out here. i am travelling between nashville and LA every month. i haven't found any headshops in Nashville. if anyone knows of some let me know. i know there's one in murfreesboro but i don't have a car here and it's an hour drive. i might venture there if that's my only option..but anyway i just made a bong out of a patrón bottle which will do for now.

btw, read a book? i am constantly reading..especially when i'm stoned. haha as for parents, it's cool to be in a band with your dad..partying with strippers and getting blazed with dad. can't really complain.
 
yea resin not good for ya i u gots a glass piece formula 420 solution is the best way to clean it
 
Resin gets you high in some way definitely but get a decent pipe man! Tinfoil tokin aint good for smoking!!

ok hoenstly ive been smokign a while and heavily and resin DOES get you high. BUT i would NEVER use a tin foil pipe enough to get resin. also the resin will be super super stuck to the foil and would be a major major pain in the ass ti get it off. the only time ill smoke resin is when i have aboslutely no money or weed and i usually jsut use a paperclip to scrape my pipe. alternativly, if im feinding hrdcre ill put the pipe (obv glass) in a bowl of 91 percent ISO alcohol and than scape the resin into the bowl. run the ISO throuhg a filter and allow the resin to dry. its dirty and unhealtyh but lets be honest when anyone is feinding thsi sis definatly not past them.
 
sometimes i think people dont know what resin is. Resin is hash. The inactive trash in your pipe is tar, distinct difference imo.
 
yes thier is a big diffrence between tar and hash. but i swear after a few weeks of smokign dank daily the tar from the pipe can seriosly knock you off your rocker.
 
couldn't you boil it like a glass piece?

ps. can i be in your band? Im big and can punch people and lift things. I also make killer brownies.
 
resin + tin foil pipe doesnt sound the best.

Ive smoked resin twice and it has nothing going for it except you will get a slight buzz - tastes, smells and looks like shit...basically because it is shit, being the remnants of your cashed weed..

Smoking resin is on par with smoking butted out old cigs imo.
