I've consumed an absurd amount of weed over the past ten years. Over the past two years, I've had more than a gram per day, average. The past year, I've been smoking vaporizing and eating an absolutely ridiculous amount of weed. Sometimes like twenty to thirty joints a day. At the height of my use, I was rolling half gram joints every hour or two. Sometimes, I would have to roll a joint directly after smoking one. Tolerance got to be too much. So, I quit.

It's been five weeks now. For some reason, I thought it took six weeks to reset tolerance. I'm aiming for nine weeks before I start getting stoned again. Will that be enough time to completely reset my tolerance? I want it to be like when I had my first hit of weed, thirteen years ago. I'd be interested to hear people's experiences with resetting marijuana tolerance. Is there any difference between nine weeks and eighteen weeks?

It will never be like your very first time ever again as you know what to expect but its never taken me more than a month to lose a tolerance.

What shijmazu said. It will never fully 'reset' - the first time is about the experience and that's what brings that amazingly fucked up feeling, it's the first time with that substance.

Anyway, check out the MEGA quitting thread AKA I need a break
