Interesting. But I wish they gave more information, such as how often the will be doing the scans (repeatedly?).
Will they do any follow-up scans, a month or two later, to see if things have "returned to normal" (assuming that they are altered in the MDMA state)? Apparently, no.

And, I wonder about such exploratory work. They don't have a hypothesis, or any predictions, apparently.
They just want to scan the brains of people on MDMA.
Pure curiosity.

I would also be interested to see the study with another condition added: pre-loading of 5-htp (or something else).
