Vendor discussion isn't allowed in any shape or form not just asking for sources. We aren't here to help you buy drugs, and this includes helping you with what to say to vendors.

An email containing a research proposal should be written formally as if addressing a potential employer or something if you want them to respect what you've written.

There are many experiments that can be done using research chemicals that don't involve consuming them, from melting/boiling point tests, to interactions with other chemicals which can include finding out how they react with various reagents in test kits etc. We're not here to help you purchase drugs though so it's up to you to find the info you need on a particular experiment and write about it.
