This piece is much more ambigious than what i typically write. The concept is based on a catagorization of human life, seperating the conflicting feelings of everyday life into entirely seperate beings, and the feeling of being at war with oneself. It's abstract, and i don't expect a lot of appreceation for the writing style, as it is intentionally rough to capture the aesthetic of free verse, the stream of conscious accompaning fits of insanity.

I hope you enjoy it.

Today, something tried to escape.

Trapped under countless layers of thought, contemplation
The decision that i'd be better without understanding, without feeling.
A steady compromise
An exchange, the chaos, the excitement, the intensity, all lost
Instead, left staring at bleached white fields, stretching for miles beyond sight.

Today, something was lost
The peaceful compromise of everyday life, shattered
In it's place, longing, lust, an acceptance of beauty too great to comprehend
which can be grasped with an iron fist

Intimacy, the albiet only tempory union of souls
The soft touch of a lover upon my chest
Forever compromised in favor of of society
A logical agreement i've never been able to comprehend.

Covered by the winter's frost of repression
a warm heart still beats
splitting in two, not knowing what to do.

Something has awakened
A sleeping giant thrusting forth
Claiming all that it wishes

In it's wake, one life becomes two
The regret-driven beastmaster, feebling trying to control what cannot
And the demon within, finally freed from itself
Free to reign chaos upon the world

That's pretty amazing man. I like your use of vivid metaphors and unrelenting details.
