Stimulants Replaced 20mg XR adderal capsule

Hello all,

Recently, a friend of mine had a long late night drive back to his house, I had a 20mg xr adderal that looks like this http://images.ddccdn.com/images/pills/mtm/Adderall XR 20 mg.jpg .

I opened it up, poured half the beeds within the capsule out, and gave him the xr capsule. I then put the other half of the beeds in a capsule like this: http://www.starwest-botanicals.com/images/C/Cap-Lineup.jpg I kept them for myself.

This may be a stupid question, but is there any difference between the capsules? I don't know if the XR part is the capsule, or the beads, that do the extended release. Is there a difference between the two capsules? If I take the gel capsule I put half the beeds in, will it be the same thing as say a 10 mg XR, or because its a gel capsule and not the capsule it came in, will it act as an IR?

The extended release is contained the beads themselves, and not in the actual capsule. The only difference between the actual adderal capsule and the no-name gelatin capsule is coloring/logo. The both will dissolve basically the same and the effects will not be different.
