When do you apply a pesticide and repellent on a plant? How far into the process? I have a dog and they are known to carry mites. So I need a pyrethrum based insecticide. I am wondering how far into the growing process would you need to start using an insecticide? Also how much do you apply? Once every week? Once every day?? Any information will be great.

From what I know a lot of growers frown upon pesticides, its not exactly something you want to be smoking.

Not sure there are many growers on here, and i dont think they use pesticides. But the last couple of growing questions were answered with suggestions of going to the ozstoners forum, probably a easy way to ask growers.

Goodluck.

Oh post pictures of a tree always makes a workday easier.

Keep that shit away from your plants man (and yourself, the pyrethrum you're looking at causes brain damage, cancer, etc. in humans). Look up non-chemical integrated pest management techniques if you are worried about mites.

Don't use pesticides.
just disinfect your grow room with Neem oil, bugs n crawlies hate it.
also you can pick up some ladybugs from your local pet store or garden centre.
put them in your grow room, they wont hatch eggs around your house or become a nuisance,
but they WILL patrol your grow room and munch up all the wee mites they find, leaving your plants intact!

a nice, natural way of pest control.

you dont use anything for bugs unless you have a problem with them. definitely dont use pesticides, use neem oil for your plants if they start to get bugs etc.
