ketamine from the vial, which is formulated, and intended for IM (intramuscular) injection.. comes mixed in a sodium chloride solution (A.K.A saline, or simply put..saltwater) just as pretty much any medical grade injectable. also, because it has a predetermined shelf life, you get all kinds of additives and preservatives in there too. it's hard to know which of those ingredients tastes the worst, but im willing to betmy left nut that the sodium isn't the culprit. I once used a flush syringe that I swiped from work (I work in hospitals) to loosen up some spraypaint that had hardened up inside my nostrils... (I was painting a barstool without a mask, not huffing) and I had the majority of it go into my sinuses and drip down my throat.. we use flush syringes primarily to flush out IV lines... and it's the same saline solution used in IV bags, as well as in injectable drugs. it tastes no different than sweat or tears, and doesn't burn any more or less. I don't know about you fine folks in Canada and the UK, but the vast majority of ketamine here in the states comes from vials ripped off from vet clinics. ive heard of dry batches in bulk from mail orders coming out of india, and I must assume that stuff would be less adulterated..at least initially, because as a dry product straight from the manufacturer, there would be no need for preservatives, or any delivery solution such as saline. I never figured out any practical method of "cleaning" my ketamine... seeing as getting my hands on any amount larger than 3 vials at any given time was extremely rare.
however, I used a simple trick that makes snorting much more pleasurable without fucking up the potency or having to mess with alcohol solutions and filters. simply order a batch of procaine from any chemical catalogue... it's the base ingredient of novocaine.. only since it comes in crystalline powder, it lacks all of the preservatives and sodium that novocaine would have in it- since novocaine is an injectable solution. it's not uncommon for coke dealers to use it for cutting coke. it has a strong numbing effect, and nothing else. you can buy the shit dirt cheap... like 50 bucks a kilo, last time I priced it.. and it's relatively unregulated. at least, it wasn't here in the states...but please excuse me if my info is outdated, ive been out of the loop at least 12 years. I would add just about two to three bumps worth per dried-out vial. it pretty much cancels out any discomfort and watery eye effects after the first bump or two. for a dealer to cut with salt...or any of the adulterants mentioned in this thread, is pretty crummy... but hey, we're talking illicit drug use and commerce here. I mean, what the fuck are you gonna do? boycott?
