remeron kills opiate cravings?

negro: you take 60mg/day of remeron, 140mg/day of diazepam and ~140mg/day of methadone? is there anything else you put on top of that?

Ontop of that i also take .2mg clonidine and 2mg of gabitril at night, both for sleep.

I also shoot tar heroin (same dose, .5g) maybe 3 times a week, sometimes more. I try to abstain as much as i can. But I took an 8 day break recently and didnt experience withdrawal, so i guess im not addicted to heroin, at least not physically.

And in regard to remeron withdrawal, i have gone up to 6 days without remeron, after over a year of daily use of 60mg. I was in the hospital at time and i kept on telling them that i needed my remeron, but they wouldnt give it to me (the doctor said "i was taking enough drugs). The withdrawal was definately unpleasant, i essentially didnt sleep the whole time i was there. I consider it medical malpractice that they didnt give me the remeron, considering that i was depend on it, but they also stopped giving me my methadone (replaced with 10mg of morphine push button drip, which i kept on pushing the whole time even when i knew it wasnt working). The lack of methadone made it hard to tell what drug i was withdrawing from, so im not completely sure what remeron withdrawal alone is like. Other times i've gone 2 days without it with minor withdrawal symptoms, mainly anxiety and sleeplessness.

^^^ I also would consider that malpractice. Especially since you're dependent on them.. And why would they take away your methadone and replace it with morphine? I don't see a point in doing that... am I missing something? :\

fucking doctors playing god is bullshit. if you need incredible lawyers, please let me know. argh. it makes me so mad.

btw; thanks for answering my question. i was really curious.

i took a bunch of fentynal last week, and over the weekend (not really a lot, but a box). i did it with about 150mg/day of hydrocodone. my tolerance sky rocketed. it has taken me 2 OC80s and two 60mg MSContins to get a buzz today. i had to take the 2nd OC and the 2 MSContin within an hour of each other. if someone who takes opioids were going to do fent, that would be my only words of caution; it may well jack your tolerance quite quickly.

although, i just added a handful of soma on top of that, and am suddenly feeling 'in the zone'...not unlike britney spears ;)

The Soltabs I had were 45mg... damn no shit it had me beat the next day. First time user ever of really any sleeping pill (I normally sleep okay except when w/o opiates when depedent) and I champed the whole 45mg. I got like 9 hours of sleep, but didn't matter, I was the most tired that next morning EVAR.

This was at the point where i was drying out my methadone solution and injecting it, so i was covered with needle marks. They all referred to me as "junky". Doctors and medical people in general hate opiate addicts, and they treated me accordingly. I was angry for a very long time after i got out after 6 days of hell. But, i decided not to go ahead and sue the hospital, becuase i dont like people who sue and it would only bring back bad bad memories. The only thing i wanted to do was forget it ever happened.....

But those fuckers should have payed for what they did (or didnt) do to me and it still bothers me. If i should recieve such a similar treatment if i become hospitalized i will not take ANY shit, if they even utter the word junky under their breath....

Good for you, Negrogesic...do it and stand firm. Even remind them that they did take an oath (Hippocratic), which the first tenet is to first cause NO harm.
If you do have to be hospitalized (Dog forbid..), let them know immediately upon admission that you're on Methadone, definitely tell them about your benzo dependence (and how much- because they have to give it to you), and that you will, in NO WAY, tolerate a reduction in your dosage, or being allowed to feel any pain- just like any other patient, or you will be calling your lawyer (not that you'll actually sue- but they don't need to know that) and the AMA to let them know what is occuring. That should do it, I believe...doctors like that TRULY piss me off, and I'd like to take a ball bat to their head, then give them Ibuprofen (or Toradol at most) for the ensuing pain. Bastards...:X

^ Doctor's really do play god with peoples lives. Whether it be not providing addicts with their Rx meds, or denying a patient in pain any Rx pain killers besides, oh, tramadol...

Fucking doc's...

Give me a fucking medical license... I'll make all my patients happy. :)

Dilaudid, Duragesic, and oxymorphone for all!!!

Negrogesic, what kind of withdrawal symptoms does mirtazapine have?

I can speak about mianserin which is an older analogue of mirtazapine. The withdrawals are nil, compared to SSRIs. You may experience agitation and anxiety if that was what you were prescribed for in the first place. Other than the weight gain and grogginess in the morning (which goes away eventually), I find the compound quite tolerable.

The sedation from Remeron has made the withdrawl from benzos tolerable for me. Come to think of it I have being doing less opiods as well..... but that is by choice. It has helped my mood as well as the insomnia. It does increase your appetite though.

When I quit mirtazapine a week ago from 15mg a day, for the next week I had headaches, nausea, insomnia, and increased anxiety. Klonopin helped out a lot though, and I feel pretty much back to "normal" now.

As to this subject, I have not read much of the thread, but my reply- as I have 'been there done that' pertaining to this subject, I would say

No fucking way. .but it did help me sleep

How long had you been using it for?

tar h 3x a week

I know wer'e all differrent and im not just pickin on neuro, but the cheva will get you, for at least me and 1000's of other people, theres no shootin 3x a week for very long. everyones differrent, But when I first started getting into tar, a freind, said man no man is stronger than heroin.
Im glad you can only do it 3x a week or a little more.
for me its one or the other, its not a rec drug unless your a joy banger
. I can do 3 bags and feel w/d's, granted its been since '95 that I was using H every day.
Honestly, I do feel it is possible to use H on occasion, But I've just seen too may people , mostly smart motherfuckers end up in jail or dead
and im not morally judging at all, as soon as My tolerance comes down,
I want to get high,,and AI still beleive I can do it"once and a while"
But My past and knowledge of how ittakes you over makes me
know different...Just one of those things..we all reap what we sow
I dont see myself on the street again, that was a choice, I wanted to do H
drove 3,000 miles to get into my famuiiar zone.,,But since doing 13 mos
tit time....but still time. not a place I see myself again...
If you got$$,,,tolerance raises faster, all Im sayin is H (for me)
not somethin I can do 3x a week. Because the drug is physically addicting..3x turns into every day(for me)
Bless u all that can use on occasion,
Noc

I probably use less than 3x a week now, may 1-2x nowadays. I can do this because i am on methadone, so i still extremely addicted to the methadone, but it keeps straight during the day. But at night it starts to wear off. I recently took a week and a half break from heroin, so i know im not physically addicted to it, but i definately dont want to get a heroin habit ontop of my serious methadone and even more serious high dose diazepam addiction.
