Benzos Relaxation with significant euphoria- mix of Xanax and Gabapentin

What's up everybody. Not really new here, been around for a while and know a few mod's (Mods feel free to move this thread to the proper location.)

Anyway,

I'm prescribed Xanax. Used to be prescribed 1mg Xanax IR.. My doc decided to give change it up a little bit and prescribed me .5mg XR. (which of course we all know it's not exactly recreational due to the fact that it gels up regardless if you chew it,crush it etc.

Here is where it all begins: %)

I had a day off work (I'm a Park Ranger which is irrelevant.)
I decided to pop 10 of the .5mg Xanax XR's which is equivalant to 10mg's of Xanax. (YES, that's and incredible dose but remember they are XR not IR.. 2.5mg of IR is perfect for me but the XR's just don't really touch me.

After a couple hours, I decided to do some research and realized that Gabapentin (Neurontin) could possibly potenate benzos (This is not a accurate just a theory so dont hate on me for this lol.).

After popping the gabapentin, which takes a little bit of time to kick in, I suddently felt more relaxed and very social.. I've taken my share of drugs such as coke,meth(evil drug),shrooms,Xtasy etc. But for some reason the mix of Xanax and gabapentin put me in a happy/social psycological state that I'm having a hard time describing.


Summary:
Mixing Xanax with a majority of other pharmacuticals and drugs is dangerous and I do NOT reccomend it. The LD50 for xanax alone is pretty high but when mixed with other drugs its very very easy to OD.. Remember that. Overall, I did have a great time and still am but remember in the long run what must go's up will come down.

the LD50 of alprazolam alone is 350-3000mg/kg in rats... probably higher in mice which are more closely genetically structured like us.... you would have to take over a hundred boxes of alprazolam to have a 50/50 chance of lethal OD... granted you do not have any "condition" that would make you prone to a benzo OD

the LD50 of benzos are ridiculously high 5grams/kg for oxazepam in mice, i presume the LD50 in mice is close to the LD50 i n humans, or they wouldn't use it as a referance when you type in LD50 (insernt benzo name here) on google, with that assumption, i would need to taake half a kilogram of oxazepam to reach the LD50 (if i wasn't taking ANY other med)... it gives you a slight idea of how unlikely it is to overdose on benzos alone, granted yoou are not particularlly succesptible, or metabolise benzos differently than a "healthy/normal" person for instance

that being saaid, add one 25cl normal strength beer (for example) in the mix and the LD50 probably drops by over 75%...

This kind of thing is more fitting for TR. Im going to close this as there is no question to be discussed, just an experience. Both alprazolam and gabapentin are GABAergics which is why they synergies nicely (though Gabapentin does not actually stimulate GABA A like Xanax does, it's effects are due to interactions with calcium channels). Gabapentin is known to help with benzo and opiate withdrawals, and synergies pleasantly with both of them. Mixing any CNS depressants is risky though.
