Hi,
After 12 days sober i relapsed on Heroin, half a gram, during a anxiety attack. Is there a chance i will wd? Tomorrow i'm going to start a therapy and it includes pyshycal parts (yoga), hope i didn't blew it....

You did half a gram of heroin after being clean for 12 days? Be careful man...and yes you definitely can get withdrawals, but they will go away quicker than last time as long as you don't give in...

No i won't give in, i had an awfull response to an anxiety attack. I'm only worried because i'm going to start a new physical activity tomorrow and therapy, and i didn't want to take the clonodine again to go there, and do those things without meds, well.. if i have to take it, i will. Two things are certain i will go there (therapy and Yoga), and if i have to take a drug it will be only the clonodine my doc gave me for wd.

If it was a one time relapse you should be in the clear from withdrawals, however everyone is different so we can't say for certain. You should be fine this one time, but everytime you go through the cycle of getting clean, relapsing, and becoming physically dependent again, it becomes easier and takes less time to become dependent again! So just be mindful of that.

He's right, it's hard to say but I have relapsed everything from one day out from bad withdrawals to 20+ to years, in my experience if you don't do it again you are just going to get some night sweats which was probably still happening anyway and body aches... And that's just the come down for your probably pretty weak body. Good luck, so sorry. You've come a long way, mess ups happen.

Thanks guys, physicaly i was already fine, some insomnia and nothing more. The sweats where alreadu gone. Well, i think is one of those cases to better not think too much of it (if i will wd or not) and be strong in future cravings.

As long as your *completely* over the "acute" WD stage, no, one use isn't enough to reestablish a physical dependence. But 12 days would be cutting it close for some people.

Although the acute phase of morphine WD is generally done by that point(and many sources(both medical and anecdotal) indicate diamorphine WD is even shorter) but for me personally, after more than a week, I am still sick as hell(though that has a lot to do with severe insomnia, and not eating when I am already extremely thin) but, from experience, half a gram has made my WD FAR WORSE after several days off. Mind you, this was extremely good dope.

But be careful, it doesn't take much.

Your probably right-- don't make anxiety worse. Check out the opiate withdrawal arsenal feed if you start feeling bad though.

None of us are perfect - look on it as a learning experience, turn back towards the future you want and go for it!!

You will be in my prayers,
CC
