Thank you for your responses everyone.
I figured that my Dr would be immediately notified if I entered a rehab/detox. However, maybe it's something that I really just need to get over.. Over the summer I was balancing an addiction to barbiturates&benzos on top of the heroin addiction. I beat the benzo habit, which everyone always says is harder (i would agree, to an extent).
I just know that once I go to rehab I will have a permanent black mark on my record in regard to my health care.
For what I'm getting my degree in (human services.. I wont describe it much more than that..) I'm afraid that employers could find out.. Especially since I'll likely be working with folks with substance abuse, among other things.
I took everyones advice to heart and I'll try of think of what my next step is. However, going to detox/rehab mid-semester is really not an option. I can't have a medical leave on four classes (considered a lot of Masters level - 2 or 3 is average - dependent upon program of course..) Anyhow... I think the detox/rehab idea is something best reserved for post-May.
In regard to MMT.. The nearest one is in the city, Albany, about 30mins away. Going there every morning to chill with the clinic crowd. Woof. Idk.
Additional question does anyone have any experience with Nucynta? It's pretty new. I was thinking maybe getting off percs and taking that instead.. At least that would reduce one drug that I abuse. I cop/get high off my script when the pain becomes to high. The pain becomes too high because I short change myself with the script so then I'm only taking 1/2 the recommended percocet intake, same for the fentanyl (so then i'll wear 25mcg.. thats a jump from 50..)
So, any other opiate-based meds that are a bit less abusable..?
