Rehab- Is it effective?

I'd say that rehab works if you want it to work. You have to want it. Otherwise it's just going through the motions.
Rehab can be extremely beneficial and not only help with coping skills, etc but can also be a avenue to getting a lot of aftercare set up that you or I wouldn't necessarily follow through on setting up if we're on our own.
If you don't want it to work, it's basically a week to a month of bullshitting and faking your way through the inpatient programs/projects. At the same time as all that, for myself the first go arounds, it was a remarkably effective way to find new, better connects that were inside, too.
So, my point is that it is what you make it. You get out what you put in and all that....
