Do you think it's worse to regret the things you've done, or the things you didn't do, could have done, etc? Why?

Ideally I don't think you should regret either.
But it's worse to regret the things you've done, because they cannot be undone.
The things you didn't do, on the other hand, maybe it's not too late?

Also, there are more things that you could have done than things you did.
The potential for regretful moments in your life is literally infinite, in terms of things you didn't do.

I think it's worse to regret, full stop. Understand why you made a mistake, or why you think it is actually a mistake. At the end of the day does any of this actually matter?

I am not a big regretter, as long as you learn from your experiences. But I think it's worse to regret those things that you haven't done than the ones you did. Who knows where you would be today if only you had taken up that opportunity.
Don't look back. You're not going that way!

So we look into the definition of regret? To feel sorry, repentant, disappointed, remorseful about something. I truly have felt sorry about many things in my heavy drug using days, but when I came to a realization of what I felt sorry about, I made a decision to not feel that way any more, so I thought out my actions to the reaping the benefits or repercussions. Now a days, I don't regret anything that I do, because I know what I am doing before I do it. I think its worse to regret what you have done rather than what you haven't done. Obviously, if you haven't done it, it wasn't mean for you to do. Why should there be any regrets if you are thinking things through and being true to yourself. If its something you want to do or go, if its not harming anyone including yourself, why not? No regrets!!!

i think regret is a lot of refusal to accept what has happened, its better to learn from and accept, it may hurt worst than regret, because regret could be scapegoated, but it compounds overtime. but know that you are not the only one with this pain and their is always someone around you willing to let you know. <3

Realizing you should have done something different works the same for both.
I think the realization is what is important.
Being we can't go back and change the past,
using this realization in future is key.

I don't use the rearview mirror because I'm not going backwards ...but I do actually have some regrets but have tried to at least learn from past mistakes....

I don't regret much. Some things I wish I had not done, but there is no going back and undoing the past.

Of course it is better to regret something you have done, than regret something you haven't done.

That's my current opinion on regret.

I have no shame or remorse about my past because I am done with it.

I learned just about everything the hard way and it did not break me, it made me stronger.

When I reached the point where nothing phased me and I just no longer cared I decided to live each day like it was my last.

Tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone.

This is all very recent after a series of events I just do not even want to get in to, but it took a great deal of effort and getting through things and I have seen people self destruct or just kill themselves over less and I just fail to comphrehend that.

I am at a loss for words as to what the world around me has become but I have found peace within myself for the first time in my life and I am not letting go of this aphiniy for anything.

I will leave this place behind as soon as I can because my past still is with far to many people here and they all seem to want me to be the way I was and I am just not having it.
