Anybody else had gear that tastes like smoking raw opium? I took this as a sign of high purity & shot half a bag & was very nauseated & the hogh wasnt so great but later i shot half the amount & had an even better time.

me and a mate both lost a whole day-very worrying when you no clue what you done

the police tested the gear that I am alleged to have been involved with-57% I think
this was back in march 2011 apparently (odd cos I didn't think I could score back then)

Gonna try the tested method of using different a vein to get a better hit (Hey, it worked with cocaine!?!).

Phenobarbitone, I reckon. Possibly other barbs, but not likely. Phenobarb has consistently shown up in tests.

I've had the experience of smoking bag after bag of it and getting next to nothing with lowish tolerance, only to pin a bit (which I don't often do), fall all over the place, lose all memory and wake up hours later still a bit groggy.

Fits the effects profile perfectly. Explains a lot of overdose deaths too, including a mate of mine.

I said it a while ago, I think the reason the US are in Afghanistan is for its natural resources but not oil - opium.

They get to control one of the most lucrative trades on the planet. Ask the troops there - they aint destroying the poppy fields, they're protecting, patrolling and shipping the shit out of there!!

Any how i just got a fat stone n some nice gear cost me £60 .

The gear is lush the stone is pretty good not like "OMG the walls are breathing !!"
but good still.
I seem to have quite alot of both if i had a camera i would take a picture i don't so u will just have to imagine what a fat stone n two big rocks of gear look like

It has been consistently availible for well over a decade my proximity to Bristol has a direct link to this.
Crack and Bristol are like salt n pepper.
It was one of the 1st places in the country to get a proper epidemic status back in the 90s . Folk would come from all over the country n Wales to get that Bristol stuff back then .

We used to have yardie gang members travelling up to our town on the train to sell their wares but they kinda stood out in our small town and the old bill always ended up nicking them all.
A few more gangs from London have tried over the years but the filth are on to them pretty quick.
The last lot who came to a town a few miles away from mine have just been jailed for around 10 years in total for 3 or 4 of the gang.

Has anybody on here smoked both H & actual raw opium? 'Cos i had some gear last week that tasted exactly like opium. I even found half a bag to be too much when i shot it 'cos later on i shot much less than the first shot & it was definetly a case of "less is more"

I think i'm gonna smoke my next batch, the guys i score it thru r pretty hardcore junkies & i've never found heroin to be soooo good that i cant stop myself buying more, unlike pharaceutical morphine which is like gods nectar in my mind.

Oh yeah, i'm wondering if using a "lightbulb" type vapouriser would be a better way to smoke than foil cos with "chasing the beetle" it seems that you waste quite a bit of smoke.

Well I can report that it's shit, shit and more shit still for me. When I say shit I don't mean dog shit bash, just low grade shit. THe type of shit that you could smoke a ton of and never gouch but it'd take your rattle off.

I did have summat a bit better from Cannock way but that wasn't too great either really.

I havent had them together but have had them each on their own. I find theres a big difference between highs, i actually prefer the opium high,it feels more creative and dreamy, more natural too, but if i could get some i'd try and save it for special occasions, "its a keeper" lol. If it feels similar to heroin then it probably is as i dont think you'd be able to get enough opium in a bag to give a strong effect like you describe. I may be wrong though,im sure someone on here would know.

My source has had fairly good gear throughout the drought,current stuff i'd say is around a 7/10, 1 bags enough to get a little nod on when im on my own,but been smoking between 2-4 a night,thats with smoking rock too so smokin more than i need probably

I scored from brum a few months ago n it was shocking,it ran forever and i got a placebo effect at most. havent entertained the idea of scoring elswhere since.

my decent guy doesnt even believe me when i say theres a drought on lol i think he had one shit batch a while back but he complained and it never happened again

I would hate to think that dealers can get good stuff but dont want to pay the price, dont dealers understand most people would rather pay extra for the quality than buy shitloads of rubbish? For a few months leading up to christmas we were getting regular 9's, £10 for .09, sounds expensive but 6 lines would have me gouching and you'd get 16 lines out of a bag if you ran it well.

I hope things take a turn and improve, i really would be shocked if all this has been caused from dealers not forking out for decent gear.

Hi Cornishman, I did a switch from meth to subutex a few years back, think I was on about 30mg of meth and it really wasn't that bad. I had an hour of withdrawal, complete with the shits, sweating and all that but then it just went away and I felt fine. You hear some right horror stories but don't believe them, users are some of the most creative types when it comes to scaremongering about sobriety or acts approaching it.

Go for it and see how you go. You ain't got anything to lose and may find you get a real pick-me-up from the lessened sedation.

The stuff I'm talking about tastes/smells like opium but is definitely not - just extremely poorly synthed heroin/whatever else it is (I'm sure OD members what with the massive proliferation of opioids in the States would do a better job of IDing it, just never bothered because I far preferred opium anyway) and cut to shit on top of that.

Ugh!!! I had a bad day yesterday! I have often heard Blondin talk about 'Half Life of Methadone' but i never really knew what that meant? Even thought i have been taking methadone for years. But i think i know what it is now!

I hadn't taken my methadone since last Wednesday coz i was using heroin all week, the gear over here is still weak crap but it does hold me if i smoke enough of it, so a wasted a lot of cash on crap gear this week! Doh!!!

Anyway i smoked my last tray late Tuesday night & then i took my methadone yesterday morning & headed off to work for the day. I felt awful all day, shivering & shaking! Feelings of withdrawals all day! Then last night when i went to bed i started feeling worse, i woke up in the middle of the night covered in sweat & felt like dieing! So i took more methadone.

I used to think this was the feeling of the heroin leaving my system, but with the heroin been so weak now-a-days i'm thinking thats not it! It must be this 'Half Life' thing? I take 60mls a day, but i'm guessing 'half life' means that that each day when i take my methadone dose that half of yesterdays dose is still in my system, is that right? So when i stop taking it for a few days i have no build up in my system & thats why i felt so bad yesterday!

I'll never let that happen again! It has happened countless times in the past, but i always thought that it happened coz i'd stopped using gear, not coz i didn't have a build up of methadone in my system! You think i would have known that after all these years! Blondin has often talked about the half life of methadone, you see you do learn things off these forums!!!

Ructions, that sounds rubbish!!

Half-life means the time it takes for your body to remove half of the drug from your bloodstream.. methadone has a long one, somewhere between 15 and 60 hours (it is variable) so that means a good proportion of the dose you take one day is still in your system, and when you are on it long term you have several days build up lingering.. so I'd say yeah it could well be that causing you to feel so crap. Are you feeling better now?

Hi Effie! Yes i feel a lot better to-day thanx! But i had to take extra methadone. Luckily i had extra methadone coz i hadn't taken it for about 6 days! It was stupid not to take my methadone for that long! I wasted a lot of cash on weak gear!

I'd seen others talk about Half Life on here but i never asked what it meant! I learned the hard way! I have done this countless times over the years, but i always thought that the bad feeling was the heroin leaving my body.
