Hey Ructions, how are you? :) I totally understand why you'd want to warn someone against taking heroin - when you're able to stop you don't want to, and when you want to stop you're not able to. I don't think drugs are ever really a good idea anyway, I don't believe anything good ever comes out of any drug habit, it just creates a need that wasn't already there. Still though, drugs are very tempting when life isn't working out for you.

Didn't do much for Paddy's Day to be honest, I'm not a drinker so it wouldn't be my favourite holiday! The weather down here was nice enough, which is strange because you always seem to get better weather up in Dublin! It's definitely an overrated day anyway.

I actually scored yesterday and I got a 'gram' for €60 (is that not very cheap?!), because I knew that I wouldn't be getting any more until the Leaving Cert is over. Now I haven't clue if it's really a gram and it's weird shit at that - it doesn't really run on the foil at all, it's loaded with tobacco so my eyes sting when I smoke it. Despite all that, it does actually feel like gear and I'm a little stoned but it won't last very long. It's so odd! I think that if it did run well on the foil I'd feel like I'm getting more out of it but it's so frustrating to see it just burn up like that. I threw in a tiny bit of butter to help but it's still not great! I think that gear in Ireland could very well be cut with some other opiate, all the legal highs coming from China have messed up the drugs trade because they're so cheap and often very accurate at mimicking the effects of illegal drugs.

Anyway, that's me done with gear for another few months. It'll be mid-June at the earliest if I decide to score again. Hopefully things will have improved significantly by then!

From a recent little slip of mine I'd say that the gear is about half what it was before the drought started. I've no idea about percentages but I'd definitely bet on it being over 5%. Maybe 15% if what we were getting before was 30%.

Theres no way it's 15% cause if it were we would be getting a little bit of a nod after using over a gram .

Yep! I agree with you Griffin! Its all kind of guess work when we are saying what % the gear is, buts its deffo not half the strength it was before the drought, its a lot less. I think the fact that the gear looks & burns so perfect is still fooling people.

Also the gear had been going down hill for a good year before the drought, so the fact the the gear before the drought was also weak has to be taken into account. I have noticed any younger users are happy enough with the heroin in Dublin at the moment, while any of the old users are not happy at all. I think as you get older you know what you want & you get pissed off handing over your money for something sub-standard. Even if is was 15% it would still be crap & they should only be charging half the price for it.

Your spot on Griffin when you say that things will not get better here until things are 100% back to normal in the UK.

@Class-A-Team: Glad to hear your taking a brake from the gear to get ready for your exams. What to you mean by the gear you got is loaded with tobacco? I have never heard of tabacco in heroin? What on earth have you bought? Also i wouldn't recommend putting butter on he foil with the gear, that would just make it burn. Sounds very strange indeed 8(

It sounds like you got sold something dodge, if in doubt just get rid of it, throw it away! You might feel like your getting a buzz off it, but god knows what your smoking? Anyway the butter would have ruined it.

Good luck with your exams, it can be a stressful time but it will be all worth it in the end! Take care & stay safe!!! :)
 
People in prison sometimes put butter on the foil with the gear because the deals are so small and the butter just helps the gear run for that bit longer.
Tobacco in yr gear isn't normal at all,sounds like someone has been careless with their gear and tobacco and got it mixed up together.
Would just bin that stuff mate, waste of yr time and money.
 
The gear I have had the last 2 days is fairly light brown powder with few small rocks in it.
Now when I was smoking it I didn't think that it seemed anything special but after a couple of bags I had a right gouch on.
I kept coming to sat on bed with foil on bed in front of me and me head leaning right over into my lap. Same thing happened today.
Its strange cos it doesn't seem particularly strong at time of smoking but both times I have had this stuff I have had a real good hard gouch.
Can't explain it but to tell you the truth I am just happy to experience a proper decent gouch again.
Just worried now that it won't be around for long.

Aw, so you can add butter? I would have thought that with butter been an oil that it would just burn up, or even go on fire! Well there you go i learn something new every day! Fair play to you Class-A-Team, i thought you'd gone bonkers when you said you'd used butter! But it seems that its a good idea! I don't think i'd try it myself though.

But yeah the tobacco thing is weird, tobacco is normally a shredded leaf not a powder, so wouldn't you be able to just pick the tobacco out of the powdered heroin before you put it on the foil?

What percent would u guess the gear in Eire is now griffin? And what would it have been on average before the drought? You seem to be knowledgable in this field.

I don't think I'm fooling myself but if I was to smoke a gram of the gear I got that time I would nod a bit for sure. Not proper goof now, but a bit of a nod definitely. And I have 60mg methadone tolerance, I take my phy every day.
 
If the gear in Eire is 15% then i'm the fukin Pope !!!

Not a chance from what Ructions et al post on here i'd say 8 % would be the very best more likely 5 or in some cases barely atrace.

I said on here b4 when some folk got busted when things were super shit around here the best stuff that everyone wanted was 16% according to the Police n that was as i said deemed good at the time .

Hi Tryptamite! :) It was during a conversation that Griffin & i were having that Griffin himself said that the Dublin gear is about 5% & i have to say i totally agree with him. Also someone read somewhere that it was reported that 5% heroin was found in Dublin. Brimz could be right, it could be 8%, its all guess work but its deffo very weak.

Even though Griffen is from Limerick he still knows a lot of people in Dublin, he'd have more contacts then i do, yet he is still can't get what he is looking for. Since the drought i have gone out & found loads more people to score off from both North & South Dublin & no matter where i go i end up getting the very same gear, Dublin is flooded with the stuff. I keep scoring off different people in different areas trying to find something better, but no joy :( Griffin scores off different people to me yet he has the very same problem, he keeps getting the very same weak gear.

The gear has got even better looking in the last few months, it looks like the best gear ever! But it doesn't tastes right & it doesn't get you stoned, its stops me from getting sick alright & i might get a tiny buzz off it, but thats all.

From talking to Griffin i'm pretty sure that we are getting the very same gear & we both feel that its rubbish. Although through-out the drought i have scored gear & my mate would score the very same gear & they would think its ok & i would think its crap! I suppose it depends on what people were getting before the drought.

But who is to know, maybe you got lucky & you got a stronger bit! If thats the case you really are lucky coz i never find any improvement at all. Glad to hear that you have more or less given you the gear, fair play to you! I really need to cop on & do the same thing myself! I better run coz i'm late for work, i'm having a quick smoke of this crappy gear here before i head off! Talk to you again mate when i not rushing! :)

JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU IF YOU WOULDN'T GET A PROPERR NOD from a gram then it's shit stuff here before the drought was good if you went to the right people 25% - 40%
 
I 've had all sorts of different stuff recently some was fukin ace like the 10 bag that dropped me for a day some shite like the half gram that did next to nothing .

The stuff i have atm is decent n reasonable price £40 half teenth not as good as the 10 bag stuff mind that was well strong.
The 10bag was just over a point .
This stuff atm is still good i get a nod off a .2 or less if i im it .
It smokes proper n leaves a nice recycle in the tube.
All in all more good than bad but still some wack stuff out their always is i suppose these days .


Everytime i score it's a tottaly dif. type of gear which is unusual often it's the same just dif. cut.
 
I've decided I'm gonna do my meth rattle and maybe switch to subbies.

If the rattle aint too bad (am only doing 30mls of my prescribed 40 a day) then I'll simply stay off all opiates.

If benzos weren't so cheap and readily available I'd give them up too...
 
you should be able to switch on that dose .

You may have a 24hrs of discomfort but if you really want it you will do it . Have you chatted with yer prescribing Doc about it yet?
It is better if done with proper supervision

Yeah mate, I've had a chat with my cpn.

Am gonna have a meeting on Friday to finalize things.
In the meantime I'm gonna try and cut my dose right back.

I keep hearing horror stories but I think it's just my junkie 'mates' trying to keep me in their shitty little world.
 
If you find Buprenorphine too "clean headed" for you then I would (stupidly) suggest a dose of some form of Benzo.
That's mostly the reason that it didn't work out for me.

Regardless - Really wish you the best of luck mate :) I'll go all Amerkin and say "You can do it duuuude!"

i COULD tell you a "story" about switching n how hard it is right now but really it depends how much you want it .
If you do then you will be fine .
 
Went into me clinic today in nottingham and there was a warning about dodgy gear. Saying it looks identical but doesn't smell or taste right, and people who have used it have blacked out, lost time, had a super strong nod or passed out altogether and have acted strangely. Sounds very similar to a lot of wot was around during the first drought (first drought? or just the permanent typoe shortage we are all facing?~). My guess probably a strong benzo cut or summat. Fuckin wank. Aint had any gear for fuckin time now but I'm gaggin for a boot now it has to be said. But I certainly dont wanna buy no shit I'd sooner go wivout. And it seems like a lot of people are cottoning on and doing the same thing now, they were kidding 'emselves before that the gear was ok but now they realise that its a lot of bollocks. Blatantly still good gear about if ur lucky, but thats all it seems to be now, pot luck as to what kind of shit is gonna be in that bag wen u open it!
