Regional Heroin Discussion v12 aka. Get yer junk out - Still no pricing please.

I also found out last week that with my drug conviction,the council(and therefore,the housing associations) will not house me
I think this is outrageous as when you come out of jail,clean and ready to make a fresh start,the one thing you would really need is a safe and secure place to live
It seems like the worst kind of discrimination to me and I am considering consulting a lawyer as to whether it would be possible to sue them over this
they are discriminating against addicts(that is an ILLNESS),and also against those with a criminal record,although they will still house paedos.
 
And 'mental patients' are disqualified from sheltered housing if they've a 'drug' history even if they are crying out for it. Note they don't mean drugs, but certain drugs which meet with disapproval, essentially of a moral kind. from certain people.

I agree. It's the most breathtaking discrimination and hypocrisy. How come the most prejudiced people seem to have the biggest say when it comes to making the rules?
 
i just got a brand new housing association /council flat despite my past , mental helth etc , and i live in one of the most expensive places in the U.K out of London.

That sounds fukin brutallly unfair .

Not much bro; I used to score off this present chap when the other chap didnt have anything in for a while. I'd spend about 60-80 a week cash, and then I'd usually end up calling him asking for one or two more at the weekend until monday. That went on for about two months and eventually I went over board one week and owed him most of my money, so he said if it suits me better he can give me up to 100 lay until the following week. It was more of a verbal agreement rather than actually 'doing' something 'for' him.

Yep, tick can be a dangerous thing! The girl i used to score off would give me loads of gear on tick, but it would just mount up & up! She didn't mind coz she knew she'd always get the cash back, but it was bad for me coz i was using much more then i should have been using, coz if its there for the taking i'd take it! I ended up owing her hundreds of €uro! So now i try never let it get over €100 that i owe. In saying that since the start of the drought i haven't been in debt with any dealer, thank christ!!! :)

Yes KKat that is a disgrace! Here is an piece from a newspaper were people say they wouldn't want to live next door to an ex-drug addict! What is wrong with these people???

To be fair I wouldn't want most of the kit heads I've met in my 14 years of use to live anywhere near me. Cunt that robbed me at knifepoint, yeah I'll rent him the spare rroom in my flat.

Can't really expect anything more from the mail
I have been robbed by crack head neighbours before,but doesn't everyone deserve a second chance?
But the council will still house convicted burglars
I can see both sides of the issue
but if I can sue the council for discrimination of 'our people',I might at least have the cash to get a privately rented place
also think it would be a good 'project' for my time inside
 
I'm not sure if different councils and housing associations have different rules but practically every addict I know here and most have got criminal records are all housed by the council or housing associations.
My best mate was totally up front and honest with them about his heroin addiction and after some waiting was given a practically brand new flat.
I thought they had a duty of care to help house you even if it is only a bedsit to start with.

I agree copletely which is why I think that it might be possible to sue the council over this prejudice
I'm gonna speak with my solicitor over this

All local authorities do have a duty of care to house you BUT it could be anywhere including shitty hostels full of thieving crackheads - the ones near me in Hackney are just full of either junkies or alchies.I dont know what you should do Kat but if I was you I would be straight on to who ever your landlord is and ask for a meeting to find out exactly where you stand - you said that you found out about it, but from who? BTW a housing assc has nothing to do with the council, they may rent property from them but they are are an automonous organisation and most RSL's have more fair regime - but deffo get a meeting with them and show them how you intend to clean up and need the right environment to do it.

Yep its ridicules!!! :) But i did warn you that it was stupid before you read it!!! Who the hell comes up with these things?

Its a rainy day in Dublin, i'm gonna finish off the bit of gear i have here & then i'm gonna stop using for a while again! The so called new batch that arrived in Dublin two weeks ago was a big let down, & i'm sure as the weeks go by its gonna be cut down more & more! Its just not worth the money! The difference between UK & Ireland is that yous are paying a bit extra for your gear & yous are getting better quality, were as over here we are now paying the same price as we were paying before the drought but its worse quality. I'd much rather pay extra for proper good gear!!!

Nobody ever answered my question on how to make a tablet (ie.valum) burn well & run on foil? When i tried it before it just bubbled & burned! So how do 'they' cut gear with benzos so that it burns well? Is it the manatal that makes it smokable? If so is manatal hard to get? I'd love to be able to make my own bash for my own personal use! I like the effects of taking benzos but i miss the routine of smoking off foil. So i thought that if i could find a way of smoking valum then i could save myself a small fortune!! Any ideas? :)

@kKAT, Yep the Mail are a shower of dirt birds!! Everybody deserves a second chance! OK maybe if you had robbed someone a knife point the they may have a reason for not housing you, but you haven't done anything like that so you should be given a chance!

Its impossible to get a council house in Dublin, i have been on the list for 21 years & i have never even been offered a house or a flat! Even with the two kids they still never offered us anywhere! & i have no criminal record or any record of any type! Because i am in a rented property they say that i am adequately housed! I got advice when the kids were younger they said that me & the kids would have to be homeless for 1 & a half to 2 years before they could offer us a place to live, but i didn't want to have to leave our rented flat to bring the kids to live in a poxey hostel!! My two kids are 20 & 17 now, so that means we'll never get a place coz they are grown up now!

This country is a joke! I would have loved my own house or flat! Because i've always rented i have had to move 11 times in the last 21 years. It was always coz the landlord was selling or the rent was going up too much or the place was damp ect. We have feck all tenants rights over here!!! it was very upsetting for the kids to have to move so much through out the years, they have never really been settled. & the rents are very high over here!!! €1250 per month for my 3 bed house, & its fairly a old fashioned house, its in no way modern & its not insulated at all, its freezing in the winter! I'd love my onw house, but the council won't house me & with having to pay high rents all these years i have never been able to save up for my own place. :(

The person who told e this was a woman who works at the YMCA and help people with housing applications-so she does know the game
maybe it's different elsewhere,but here in Wolves,recently,the housing associations have merged with the council and use an online 'bidding' set up to allocate housing.I used a housing association in the past and they were independent to the council then,but things have changed since.
why would my private landlord know anything about this?besides,he hasn't raised my rent since I moved in here about 6years ago-so I avoid speaking to him as much as possible.

I know that peolple were being tested and getting alprozepam(sp) coming up. My guess would be they were/are using liquid tranqs that come in amps as they wouldnt containn any fillers no tablet will burn on foil because of the fillers - like chalk etc unless anyone knows different - you can see people smoking oxy's on utube but thats because they keep on the wax coating which makes them rum if you scrape/rub off the coating they dont really run just slowly slide and leave massive black crusty lines ( I tried !)
Just smoked a score bag and started the 2nd pretty average , but still getting a nod - powder, light beige deffo got a cut - about 10% or so but nice smell when you run and sniff the smoke.
 
Wouldn't a liquid cut make the smack wet, lol? I think it's benzos in powder form that are generally used.
