The problem for many now is identifying what decent gear actually is, now peoples tolerances have gone sky high with meth build ups. This of course,also works the opposite way , with none scripted users buying bash for 8 months thinking low purity H is rocket fuel.
From asking about among the few people i know round Manchester way, the drought is not over completely , with very up and down quality.
I know when i last scored a £20 ,0.4 bag about 3 weeks ago , even without green for 50 hours it didn't touch me , low quality goods and the green tolerance that time i think.

He told me he know's @ least 5 men who dance all over this gear & charge normal £'s , where as he prefers to keep it real & the price almost double on the Henry.

fucks sake man how will you manage a week with out ur soup? its not as if you can even go out + score. well you could prob go out + score no problem but you would not be able to get any thing worth while that would hold you for long. them doctors have a nerve. like ok you were late to day so fair enoufh if it was too late. but surely they could give it you tomorow. fuck sake doctors are ment to care about people. they are ment to be there to help you. yet that doctor thinks its ok to leave you hanging like that for a hole week. thats bang out of order. is there no one you can complan to? the uncareing bastard of a doctor.

i wish that i could help you out mate. but i have to take my soup in the clinic supervised every day so i cant even lend you any. + its near imposable to buy soup on the streets since the drought. maybe you will have more luck in limerick? is there a methadone bus in limerick? that is what happens in dublin if you keep missing clinic. theres a mobile clinic that stops off at diffrent points around the city + you have to wait for it to come to your area. it always comes mad early. so you mite have to meet meth bus on your road at say 9am + if you late tats just to bad you miss your soup that day. i hate when they script be to the meth bus so i really try never to miss climic anymore its just not worth it.

I should have added that the best dope I ever got was in 82-83 when it came over with the Iranians that was darker brown and so strong you have to have a pull on a ciggy or you would gag.

But anyway, you brought this up. I had a friend who was getting very rarely persian brown in San Francisco, had to do with who you new- was rare. But he said it was dark brown and the guy selling it wanted to see him cut it. He said that it knocked his dick in the dirt- one little smoke got him hella goud. This was in the mid to late 80s. In San Jose, there was a small group of Iranian patients that had mostly heroin and sometimes opium habits in 2002-2003. That was interesting because persians are usually a fairly successful and to my knowledge a group not associated with drug use. The Hmong at the Fresno clinic had a line on opium- they would get it from laos and maybe vietnam and it was imported in small amounts for the local scene- very insular so never really got infiltrated- anyway was bizarre seeing Hmong in their traditional dress waiting in the dosing line with me when I courtesy dosed at that clinic.%)

It sounds like Greece is in trouble and the UK is going to pursue general strikes. Listened to the BBC from work- said that was gonna have a teachers strike- wonder if Pink is gonna participate.

Wish that we would go on a strike. I'm sick of getting shit on at work (litterally) but our management has a way of protecting your right to join the union but making your life hell when you complain to the union- trying to sign a petition that found a way to eliminate the instigator- our union is voluntary/ But having said all that- our new manager created unsafe conditions, salt mine conditions, and when she asked for in put, rejected my and others suggestions out of hand- anything to increase productivity- she and the lead team supposedly get bonuses when we exceed productivity. They are getting rich on the sweat of our backs (I stay latter and clock out even if I get in trouble with the union but they seem to care less than incremental overtime.)

The beauty of all this- and I have been working my ass off- for the first time in our short history- 3 managers in 20 months, huge turnover rate- this push to increase productivity- for the first time since I worked there- I have never seen the patient satisfaction decrease less than 90 %. 94-97% is typical. This month it dropped to 70%. I still work my ass off trying my best to ensure patient safety but I fall back on charting- a legal thing- and since California is so litigious that puts me a risk for a law suit and my liscence at risk- in a court- if you don't chart it it aint done- a colosal waste of time from the bedside.

But anyway, I felt lake of safety with my assignments and the Union assignment protests forms were put in the breakroom by the impotent Union reps and disappeared 2 days latter-thrown away probably by management.

I wish everyone was union- I would love a general strike- I could use the rest- then this would force travelers to work for $100-$200/ hour which would hurt the organization- but management hits the roof when I have 40 minutes or more of incremental overtime in a 72 hour period.

My point- I had to get on sub again and cut down mt benzo taper- I can't cope otherwise. Today was utter hell- these people will learn the hard way at the expense of real patients health ultimately- and a few staffs.

Atleast with heroin or other opiates these type of jobs- being exploited to all hell is more beareable. I need a strike- I need the time off- picketing is much preferable- but they have people in San Diego brainwashed that Unions are evil. But in the Bay Area we get paid atleast 2.5 times more. LA you make 1.5- 2 times as much. In the bay area unions are strong and play hardball.

Thee Greeks had it good and one can argue are like spoiled children- maybe they are fucking up the worlds' economy but We The People are getting shit allover by the corporate world. Why can't they just atleast legalize drugs- would make us more productive, complain less, and tolearate are mundane, stressful, shity lives more- and the corporates can even make money off that.
Atleast they are fighting- they should legalize all drugs to get out of their debt crisis- wonder what EU member states would think of this- or decriminalize like holland used too for narco tourists.

Anyway, as for Afganistan- don't know what the future holds- but if the Taliban gain control might not be good for Euro markets. Best possible scenario. Karzai and his cronies stay in power coupled with NATO leaving. Taliban might hurt the trade- if fact I'm sure of it- they need the money to rebuild the country if Karzai is deposed- supplies will fall and prices will rise, maybe after a honeymoon period to get people good and hooked- release good batches periodically- like the mexicans would do in CA in the old days. Or maybe Burma and Colombia will catch up and the Afgans will be forced to compete- exciting to see what the future holds.

Afganistan from lots of Afganis I've known was best under the rein of the last King. It was peaceful, warloards were pacified, it was a beautiful place on the hippy trail with tolerated great hashish (nepalese/ some kashmiri being superlative. One could obtain hash plus chillums to smoke it in Tea houses (like dutch coffes shops. The the soviets ruined the dream and the CIA probably introduced the poppy (which probably would have come along anyway.)

Best thing for all concerned would be for Greece to become a Narco state. Like it was during the 20s, with Tekedes were you can get hash, coke at the bouzouki clubs, E, acid, mandrax, nimetazepam, meth/seconal, opium dens, and of course heroin and smoking/shooting galleries. The climate is great for opium.

Kat I would not take juice when I'd smoke gear. i'd save up my takehomes. When I was @ 40 mg I'd do the same thing as you- 3 bottles day 1, 2 on the second day, and then 1 from then on till day 5- I would fill up a bottle with urine and save it for the next few months- bring it in my pocket on my weekly trips to the clinic (where we'd pick up- we don't have to go to the chemist after). When I'd have my monthly UA I'd have clean urine with meth metabolites. They didn't check the temp, the clinic was open 0530-1900, didn't check for THC, alcohol, benzos (until latter- then I got a script).

Sorry for the rant- my question- are things still getting slowly better at a higher price?, atleast in London, Brum, and other parts of the UK. Is Eire showing any signs of improvement.

Speaking of Greece- I've had 3 greeks that the drought of heroin never hit Greece- police crackdowns last months but thats it. Supposedly it managed to weather the storm- the platia (plaza) of Omonia being the epicenter. Now might not be time to visit Greece or maybe the cops have their hands to full to worry about dope right now. I think the price quoted was cheap 6-7 euros for a point or quarter g, cant remember.

Just tried a hit - as i can get a vein to pop up once a month if im lucky - using this gear which is ace to smoke but when i put it in the spoon it went almost black anyone had similar?

@stone 84 - its more of a body buzz, the mind kind of closes down which is why alot tof people take it as it medicates depression, trauma etc . Having said that there are several 'phases' you go though which can change depending on the person and how much you take ,the 'goal' for most is to gouch i.e to fall in to semi-conscious state but you can also experience confidence boosting, getting 'speedy'etc

I reckon most people are in pure denial and can't accept the fact that for whatever reason there is no kit around, same thing happened in the 90's, there was a complete dearth of worthwhile gear and it was £70 - £100 a gram for years, and that was 20 years ago.
I've had tester after tester in the past year nearly and knocked back each and every bit. I see people firing grams in 2ml barrels into their groin using long orange spikes and they don't seem to get anything except a bigger hole in their groin, 10 years ago I had to rush friends to the hospital after turning blue from a scabby wee point 1, on more than one occasion. Also had a friend who, against my advise hit up two tb's after four weeks in Barlinnie and dropped dead in a public toilet, what a fucking way to go man eh? Lying in other peoples pish god rest your soul dude, we miss you.

Plenty of good gear here and has been since xmas... I remember the early 90's and paying that sort of money but the gear then weas no better than it is now.For me thr best gear was in the early 80's , end of the 90's and 2001-2003 ish since then its all been much the same (before the drought) but then Ive had bits n bobs that have obviously come over in small parcels that have been wicked strong. For me .4 on the foil and im heading to noddsville unless its crap but ive only bought 3-4 baddens over the drought.

I agree del monte, even when i 1st started using in the years 2002/3 half a bag sent me over, in the last 2/3 years the gear has been complete garbage ime, even before this drought and its not all tolerance . For one of the "worst heroin droughts in living memory" it seems to have gone "back to normal" far too fast and easily imo.
If it does what you want though , fair enough.

Just because you have shit connects ,don't mean nobody else can't get proper tackle, there's very very good quality gear about , there's also still loads of bash.
But to say people are in denial, cos you can't get is very small minded.
At the end of the day it's down to who or what you know.

I'd say pot luck's a massive factor too. Otherwise there wouldn't be so many long-term users complaining they can't get anything that hits the spot. If you're lucky then fair enough, but I can understand how people get frustrated.
