sounds like a similar sketch 2 mine , haven't got private doc though.
I spent a bit of time on google tryin to find equivalent dosages but it was all a tad ambigious,.
Same thinkin though defo easier to come off Morphhine (shorter acting n all ) than methadone
Docs a Maverick so we will see , will keep posted in the Drug treatment thread.
 
You sure the 'easier to come off' isn't just an excuse and you don't really want morphine because it's a better hit?

Be interesting to hear how you both fare.

If you don't mind the asking, Blondin, why did you go to a private doc for 30mg of meth linctus?

1st i get pills not syrup plus i get a monthly pick up and i can raise or lower my dose at my choice - i started on 90mgs - no piss tests and if i fancy (as i did last time 30 10mg valium i only have to ask

its easeier to come of because of the 1/2 life 12h for MST 2 days for 'done you needto take it twice a day but so what - if i want a hit i just score gear.
 
God its slow tnight ah well i savd a nice lump for tomorrow plus a blue and i shud be blissed out 4 the day nite nite

Good reasons.

If I understand correctly, Smackcraft, you kicked completely in detox without too much trouble? It's not unusual, withdrawals can be largely 'in the mind'. First time I 'kicked' I felt almost cheated the dreadul things I was expecting didn't happen. Second time was a lot different, tho'.

How long did you last before you started again? Do you know why? I hope it's not too personal a question - I've a great curiosity about such things.
 
IMHO the only way to make methadone work is to do a 2 week detox - assuming you are only taking gear its relatively easy to do this quickk detox as thye methadone doesnt have time to reach peak plasma levels in your blood as you reduce so quickly eg: 70,65,60,50,45,40,etc its not quite so simple at the end - if anyone is interested PM me and i will give you the taper method and at the end of two weeks you barely feel a thing.

I agree. Providing it's your1st time with methadone.
If you've had other failed attempts with it not so sure.

As long as you have none in your system when you start it doesnt matter if youve had a script before - Iv'e done it myself and know quite a few others who have had to do it so they didnt have a habit if they had a sentance coming up.
 
I should add that this will get rid of the physical aspect of addiction but wont help with PAWS, cravings etc - your very likely to relapse unless you are very strong willed.
 
Hey Brimz whats it like your way? Im smoking right now its rock hard, quite dark but strong enough - different toi the grey slatey one from the other day- took a blue as well to help things along , suns out, so should be a good day...

I'm thinkin about scoring atm lol!
It would be dark brown rock hard , leaves a bit of a trace on the foil but no red tint .
I'ma see what i feel like when i have to go out if its nice n easy , uyeah i'll grab myself a half t at £40 this time,.
 
yep sounds the same - shame i cant get weight allthough .75 at 40 is just a bit more than i paid last week (.4 for a score and a bit less thai paid yesterday .6 for 40. Im waiting for a few quid coming my soon and i hope i can find a bit more substantial - i smoked my .3 at 8 this morning and have been nodding in and out since then , still feel nice and smooth - and i gotta try and open a bank a/c now which will be fun with my credit history (do they give minus scores) just need a very basic one - anyadvice?
 
Jus got home n had a few lines same stuff , maybe a tad cleaner than the last i bought this was xtra £5 n i what i pay is a reflection of what is paid furter up.
Gonna have a .3 n stash it away 4 the mora , so i can get have afew xrta benzo's
Should get a nod without em its decent kit.

lodin..go to Barcalays bank, as i have beeb vlack~listed & they take on people who are black~listed, i think its the only bank that do it, also got a current account with them.

The situ.. down south is still very slowly getting better, still poor quality, nothing like pre~drought, but pupils go right down 7 warm feeling after a .2, its a score for .3 atm..
 
....thats why i put 'EG' - same kind of taper will work at any level though for most its usually a minimum of 40mls a day - I heve never known anyone with a ten bag a day habit - its not really posible as the 1/2 life of gear is 6 hours so afetr 12 wd's start. Very suprised you managed to do a month taper as by then you blood plasma levels of methadone are steady and higher rememebr if you take 40 a day by the second day you already have 60 in the blood and by day three 70 sorry my head is a bit fuddled at the mo so no more maths- but you get the picture.
 
Cheers Zara - got an appointment later in the week. I have a joint a/c with the missis but she wont let me near it so i need a simple a/c as my mother sends me the odd cheque and esp as she said once its open she's gonna give me a monkey then 2k in july.....yippeee so many smack tokens
 
Still no news of anything good in Dublin yet, in saying that i haven't scored in 3 or 4 weeks, but i have been keeping an eye on whats happening, but nothing seems to be happening at all really!

There is plenty of gear available but its no good, its still just tablets been sold for gear, hopefully we'll get good news sooooooon!!! :\

Hi Brimz! :) How are you getting on? Its great to hear that your still getting good gear! I hoping it will make its way over to Dublin soon!!

Are you back to using daily? Is that what you had planned to do or do you only want to use occasionally? Although after 6 months of drought we're all entitled to go on a bit off a session!! :)

I hope I don't go back using daily after the drought, in an ideal world i'd just have a smoke at the weekends! But most of us tried that when we first started using, but the weekend thing never lasts.

One part of me is dieing for the drought to end so that i can have the smoke that i have longed for for the last 6 months! But another part of me is terrified that i'll end up with an out of control habit that again, i'd hate to go back been broke all the time!

I suppose most people that don't understand heroin addiction would think i'm stupid & they would say that if i lasted 6 months without it then why would i go back using? But at least everyone on this thread understands that we didn't stop using by choice, it was the drought that stopped us using, i have thought about gear every single day since November. It would be a good time to stay clean, BUT............... you know how it is..........
