Just spent two hours trawling Google, for any conclusive evidence about different ways of synthesising MDMA, and any differences. I found nothing. I found a thread from here, started by Evad (RIP), which asked this question. The consensus was that racemic (preferred) MDMA was produced by all common routes, unless you tried to produce one, or the other (no point). Perhaps the decent pills I've been taking for a couple of years have all contained some MDA (all from the same presser), and they've now released a batch of MDMA pills, and I'm no longer impressed. That doesn't explain why every person that took the All Stars were disappointed, though.

Has anyone had All Stars and loved them?

This is strange as well as there have been a lot of people saying the synth in the all stars, Olympics etc was far better - very confused now. Is it possible that external factors play more of a role than people think??

I don't see how a difference of dosages could be what made those partyflocks so bad for me. No euphoria, no empathy, nothing but eye wiggles, being fucked, kidney and pain with piss problems. Felt so wrong. Think it was the 3rd batch of them.
 
Is it just me or does there seem to be a lack of properly decent pills around again?

All that's about here is gold rockstars or orange VW's. Not hearing much about the rockstars that inspires me to buy any. And I'm presuming the VW's aren't the same as the start of the drought?

MDMA works with a diminishing effect, the more you take, the more the speedy feeling will dominate the euphoric feeling..
even a low dosage of MDMA releases a lot of serotonin, this could also be a theory that the 90's pills were so much better then now, because they had a much lower dosage.

I always find that my first half of those dutch beans gives me a very mellow feeling, but when taking more, i'm just getting more fucked up, and the euphoric feeling goes away a lot, but you still feel great but look awful
 
Fair enough and it is possible for lower doses to feel amazing. I remember those blue iron crosses a couple of years ago. So sweet and smooth but only 120mg MDMA. They were my favourite pill.

Still though, I took those partyflocks in half's and whole's on different occasions with the same results.
 
Hi all just picked up some md crystal from my usual trustworthy source and its very dark greyish almost black ... has any one had this before? It looks, smells n tastes legit just not got a marquis here

^ Ive had some very very good almost black/dark purple md before too hard to tell though with crystal.
 
Ive had some crystal md that went straight to black but it was shite, not loved up at all. deffo something odd about it. and i hardly do md these days so id feel it properly. mongy gurny dialated but that was it. and lots of memory loss. what else could fool the tester black and be similar but lacking?
 
Why have so many pills got a couple of milligrammes of caffeine in them, along with MDMA? Even if you took ten, you wouldn't notice the caffeine. I understand the ones with an active dose of caffeine, because it would produce some sort of kick. I can only imagine the cook/presser chucked in a quantity of caffeine, before they were pressed, but they obviously don't understand ratios. Unless some pills contain a mix of different batches of MDMA, some batches containing quite a bit. It's all speculation, but it's bizarre.

As for black/purple MDMA, there's no reason to believe it's not legit. I've had brilliant dark purple stuff (admittedly not for a long time).

I've had a scroll through this thread and some of the MDMA/clubbing nostalgia prompted me to write something today. Sorry if this is the wrong section :). If so, can you please move/delete it. This may well be more for my benefit. I havent been to bed yet from last night and feel like I need to get it out.

I have just returned from an appauling night. I am mid-30's and rarely go out clubbing anymore. I am based in London. Last night myself and an old clubbing buddy of mine decided to ressarect our clubbing days and go all out. We got some decent (tested) MDMA and went to a well know dance-club in central London. All was fine there. At around 4am we moved onto another well known dance club which is open well into the day on Sunday.

Inside we were subject to what I can only describe as horrible bullying and intimidation by several groups of people we tried to move between, calling us 'faggots' and 'gays'. When I and one of the other guys went for a seat, I offered it to him....he snatched it away laughing. Infront of his friends he then told me to sit on my friends lap, saying 'I bet you love having his hard co ck up your a ss dont you....you pair of fu cking faggots'. This was not done in a jovial way, they were very aggressive and neither me or my friend were laughing. Neither I or my friend are gay, nor are we 'camp'. The other two groups I wont go into details with, save saying that after our dealings with the 3rd lot we decided to leave as I genuinly feared for our safety. When we said we were leaving they were so patronising, saying 'aww you're not going are you....please dont go...you guys are really sound...'. They took the piss out of our cloths, our accents, what we drank, it was horrible....all infront of their friends who would erupt in laughter at our expense.

I dont want to come off with the whole 'raves arent what they used to be' but wtf! I felt so embarassed for my friend who had come down to London for this. We started raving/taking pills in our teens and oh my god this never happened then. The guys were all obviously fu cked and when I asked them what they had taken all said '2 and a half of them mortal combats innit' or 'them mario stars' so they clearly had decent drugs. I just couldnt understand how someone who has taken MDMA could behave in this way. They seemed so rensentful, bitter, pessimistic and just generally nasty horrible people.

Sorry for the ramble. I am still up and buzzing a little from the MDMA last night. I think I will take this as a sign that my clubbing days are over and in my 30's I really shouldnt be doing this anymore. It's just a shame that something so beautiful seems (based on last night anyway) to have turned into something so negative. Hopefully some of you out there are still able to have nights out like I remember 15 years ago. Back then, we used to go clubbing to get away from these kinds of people. I would still be shocked to have encountered this in a 'drinking club', but in an afterhours rave it just seems unthinkable.

Can anyone offer any insight into this? Do you have to be more 'careful' nowadays with the raves you go to and who you decide to talk too? Again, not to sing about the good old days, but back then if it was a RAVE and MDMA was the DOC you were more or less guaranteed to meet sound people who were there wanting to meet likeminded peeps.

Can anyone suggest nights/clubs in London that play DnB, Trance, Old Skool that maybe cater for the slightly older crowd but most importantly have happy, smiley people that WANT to engage with people who might be different to them (ie by virtue of being older/younger, wearing diff' cloths, from a different place, a diff' sexuality etc)?

Don't be daft, just be more selective about what clubs you go for.. The 30s were made for clubbing. :)

No idea, but that's pretty much what I'm always looking for, although oop north. The psytrance scene does tend towards that mentality, but it can be a bit "more psychedelic/spiritually-enlightened than thou" which can be a bit grating at times.
 
I've had awful experiences with people who are on pills, trying to be clever, or just out and out nasty to other people - trying to start trouble etc. Then when they see what they perceive an 'easy target' in your case two guys together then the mob mentality starts and each one shows off to his little group to get the next laugh etc.

Just find a better after hour club or go with a bigger group or just ignore them / move to a different area of the club etc.

I would not let this get too you too much - they may not be into the scene, may have been on a 'Stag Night' and found the club by accident so weren't there for the vibe etc.
 
I've had the same experience a few times. The crowds that are into clubbing these days can often be total twats. Generally, all East London warehouse parties are nightmare, apart from the odd one. You just have to be very selective when choosing the event you go to, definitely avoid any of the new 'deep house' nights, they attract the worst crowds.

Good clubbing is still possible, I'm 36 and still enjoying it. Just be more choosy.
 
London, like most big cities is very hit and miss. I tend to stay well clear of actual clubs, I much prefer one off events in warehouse spaces etc. I'm 30 something like yourself so I only venture into the city a few times a year so I can pick and choose my nights. Although I have never been world unknown gets terrific reviews, so worth exploring that avenue. LWE put on some great nights and have also taken over the old matter venue, which has bags of potential if they can get the crowed right.
