Reggae fans: wuts yuh favorite riddim?

For all my reggae/dancehall peoples out there.....tell me.....wats ya favorite riddim....

As a young kid when I was hearin all these songs, and how they would all borrow from each other, how it was just like a free for all kind of music sharing thing , one singer adopt a beat that someone else did and someone else did before they did, and it always was so cool to me of how open it was, and how many different hits can be made on one riddim and nobody says "Ay, thats the beat from XXXX! They just sampled the whole thing straight up, lame!" but instead you impressed to find another good use for that riddim and make it into another song.

For example how Unfinished Bizness Riddim was used for So Special by Mavado and No Games by Serani.

Name some of ur favorites...
 
The good, the bad, and the ugly riddim is dirty. Unfortunately I can't find it on youtube, but "uno fi cool" by stinga d, "devoted" by lukie d and "self protection" by buccaneer are all sick versions.
 
ah, love tha bookshelf riddim....I will come back n post some more of my picks later but want to see wat yall got to say, glad to see sum replies in here :)

Hawaiian ragga/reggae is some of the best I have ever heard live...

I cant think of the name of the bands I saw out in Honolulu on Oahu and Hilo on the Big Island of Hawai'i, but.... if and when I do I'll get back

damn it been a minute since i came in this forum. Forgot i made this thread, I aint had no time to even listen to music since my lil man Malik came into my life in december but i just started downloadin some shit on the new computer today. this thread remind me of all the shit i need to get in my library.

BTW, to all the folks who aint sure wat this thread is, it aint askin ur fav reggae joint. in reggae n dancehall music, artists use the same beats over and over, the reggae version of sampling. theres lots of different riddims that is exists and on each one there can be tons of different songs made over it.

say u took the beat from CREAM by wu tang, and stripped all the vocals thats the riddim...now imagine that 3 or 4 other artist just took that beat and made a totally new song all together. thats how its done. so each riddim got a name, and then artist will take that riddim and do a song on it.

u will hear a song and then a year later u hear a different song with the exact same beat, thats usin the same riddim, so this thread is askin some of ur fav riddim, Drop Leaf Riddim was used in Wat Am I Longing for by Jah Cure, and Footprints by TOK. bookshelf riddim was used in Deport Them by Sean Paul, No Matta Me by Lady Saw and a few other songs, here is a youtube video to show you wat I mean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyGhjR7CE3k Each one of those is a seperate song but they all use the same riddim. thats wat this thread is askin bout.
