Refections of memories and times long past
Wonder and sorrow are what they cast
You seem so close, yet nowhere near
The ghost of your voice is what I hear

Reflections of memories and times long past
I should have known better
Than to hope they might last
Acceptance gets easier as I face the fact
If I fall in love, it will be over fast

As I reflect and go back in time
I feel I'm together with you again
And experience reflections
Of what might have been
Strangely I kiss you with relative ease
I kiss you goodbye and do as I please
