i know really nothing about 5-htp so this may sound very stupid but i was just wondering if your pre-loading with it, would taking it increase your roll because of the serotonin if you know what i mean, as in you would have more serotonin thus having your peak longer and/or better?
 
Most people find that taking 5-HTP before mutes/weakens/mellows out the experience. It's not known why but popular theories include competition between 5-HTP and MDMA for the SERT, downregulation of the serotonin receptors, and an imbalance between serotonin and dopamine

I find this I never take 5-htp on the day of dropping, maybe in the morning, if I do my buzz is much more mellow, girlfriend finds as well. The below is not just because I take drugs but I increase my dose and add ALA and drop 5-HTP for the pre load.

Each week Day (always have done)

100mg 5-htp, 250mg Magnesium, 1000mg Cod Liver Oil, 250mg Vit E, 250mg Vit B,1000mg Vit C

Pre Load

1250mg Magnesium, 500mg Vit E, 500mg Vit B, 2000mg Vit C, 200mg ALA

Post Load

400mg 5-htp, 500mg Magnesium, 1000mg Cod Liver Oil, 500mg Vit E, 500mg Vit B, 2000mg Vit C, 1000mg ALA

Edit: as part of my Pre: I take 1000mg L-tyrosine, 1000mg DLPA (My choice I recommend reading a bit about it first as is reacts on your dopamine )

I heard/read that a lot of 5htp cn be bad for the roll if taken before...and MathTinder you take a shitoad! I can't say I agree with the amount on the comedown either...only 100-150mg 5htp is necessary, any more and your wasting it...the body can only absorb so much you know?

I'm not sure I agree with that. Once I took 350mg in a day, and I'm certain it was absorbed because I experienced very much stronger effects than I would have on 150mg.

I was rushy, hot, flushed, eyes dilated, emotional/weepy, mentally quite clear and focused... it was wierd. A bit uncomfortable physically.
 
My point, excess cause unwanted physical side effects, as with anything. I mean you take too much vitamin c and you can get all hot, and even diahrreah! It just seems like people only have this "more is better attitude" but thats not always the case!

cant get melatonin, 5-htp nor alpha-lipoic acid in australia. So, i ordered my whole pre/post load vits online. here go's.

i bought in bulk
- 120t 100mg 5-htp
- 120t 100mg ALA
- 240t 470mg Magnesium with 300mg calcium
- 100t 500mg Vitamin c chewable
- 240t 3mg Melatonin
- 100t Mens MultiVitamin (includes 200 iu E)

total cost for my years supply - about $150 AUD (110 us) (including postage)
 
i don't really take very many vitamins and stuff like that... just don't wanna spend the money on it, and my dad would think i'm obsessed with taking vitamins...

heres what i do though..

Day before: 1000mg Vitamin C, 50-100mg 5-HTP
Day of (anywhere from 4-10 hrs before): 1000mg Vitamin C
Post-load: 200-300mg 5-HTP, 1000mg Vitamin C
Day after: 100mg 5-HTP, 1000mg Vitamin C
2-3 days after: 1000mg Vitamin per day, N/A-50mg 5-HTP

thinking about getting magnesium for jaw-clenching and melatonin for a sleeping-aid, but that would probably be the extent of my preload/postload receipe
 
With my last meal (about 4 hours or longer till I roll) I take 500mg vit C, drink a yakult and have magnesium 400mg with a pint of milk.

Then half an hour before I drop I chew another 500mg vit C
If I'm having more pills through the night I have a vit C with each of them.

Post load: 200mg 5htp
400mg magnesium
1000mg vit C
Washed down with a glass of sustagen.

Then after a couple more hours and a shower, root and bong I usually force my self to eat some breakfast. A bit of cereal and a lot of fruit salad goes down nicely. I will usually consume another 200mg of 5htp and 500mg of vit C after I have had a sleep.

NB yakult is a pro-biotic drink. Tasty and I find it prevents stimulants from having a laxative effect.
 
oh yeah i also take this orange fiber powder postload to help me use the bathroom the day after, otherwise sometimes its hard for my stomach to digest
