Opioids Reducing Suboxone to get high - Schedule?

So I'm on 24mg of suboxone a day, looking to cut back this weekend so I can take a day off and get high. Last time around I just skipped my dose the morning I wanted to shoot up. It worked, but the bupe was obviously still partially blocking the receptors, since I had to use much higher doses and it wore off faster.

This time around I'm thinking I'll reduce my dose slowly leading up to the day. So let's say I wanna get high on saturday. Maybe swallow half my dose on thursday to reduce down to 12mg, then swallow my entire dose friday and get a takeaway for saturday, which I won't dose. I figure with a half dose and then a 48 hour break (minus whatever small amount of bupe I absorb through swallowing it on friday) my brain should be freed up for the morphine by saturday morning.

Anyone else out there with more experience getting high while on suboxone maintenance have any suggestions? How far down I should cut my dose, how many days beforehand, etc etc?

Thanks :)

Ya firstly you are going to seriously fuck yourself over. In many ways:

1) bupe has built up in you by now. This mean unless you wait 3 days everytime after your bupe does, you are GOING TO HAVE bupe in your system when you do your DoC. Meaning you will need to use MORE of your DoC, meaning it is less effective, spending more $ and not getting as high. You are on 24mg/day. That is a SHITLOAD of bupe to break through; as i said youre going to have a hard time doing so, even after a day or two of (swallowing bupe). for you tbh you'd prob need to wait LONGER than 72 hours to flush bupe outta you. I take 3mg of bupe/day (Tapering) and when i wanted to get high I still had to wait at LEAST a FULL day of nothing before I felt it, and 2 days to feel it 100%. At an amount youre at...sheesh good luck.

2) This is the more important part: the more you switch back and fourth between bupe and an agonist, the less the bupe works. This is something I have seen myself with people at my program, as well as my own experience. So there may come a time, if you keep switching back and fourth, where bupe not only no longer works for you, but you cant really get high off of agonists because youre burning out your receptors with the wicked strong bupe (so to speak, MUCH more complex than that, but thats a good summation of it).

So if you wanna keep getting high, i'd suggest you stop taking the bupe altogether, for a good bit. Unless you want to waste $, not get high, and no longer have bupe work for you in the future (when youre REALLY sick). Now if all of that is what you want? Then yeah, I'd say go for it and try and get

1) Like I said, I've already done this, I just wanna maximize how high I can get instead of having to shoot more than normal. It's pretty much a financial issue, if I had endless money to spend on opiates I'd just skip a single dose and shoot as much as I need (though if I had endless money to spend on opiates, I wouldn't be on suboxone).

2) First of all, I'm not sure why you think this since I've never seen any evidence to suggest it, but I'm at the stage where bupe hardly does anything for me anyway. It gives a slight mood lift and mild pain relief, but very slight and very mild. It's better than being completely sober, but only barely.

Anyway, I appreciate the thought, but I've already put quite a bit of thought into this decision and the ramifications. Now I'm after advice on how to do it best, not a lecture on why I shouldn't. If I want that, I'll go to my doctor :)

I am basing it off of the many people who attend clinic with me have experienced, along with my doctors there (psychs, sub doc, and nurses) have told me, as well as my own experience. More you switch back and fourth between bupe/agonists, the less both work. Believe it or don't it is something I have taken to heart having experienced it myself. The more and more i kept going back and fourth the less and less the bupe would work when i NEEDED it when withdrawals would be kicking in. Believe me or not; go for it yourself, risk it if you want, its up to you.

I personally realized that I was NOT looking forward to the day when suboxone no longer worked for me, so I stopped fucking around.

This is me trying to tell you how to do it best. If youre going to keep switching back and fourth, it is not going to be the best by any stretch of the imagination.....hence me telling you to kick the suboxone if you really wanna get high. I mean shit man, dont lie to yourself, you wanna get fucking RIPPED on opiates. Do it the right way, not the shitty way where you barely get high, waste $ and drugs no longer work for you...

Hey. Nice to see you in OD section.

Anyway. You got the right idea. Simply skip. You just got to wait longer if you want to get high. I know it sucks but on the bright side if you decide you want to get high again later on you dont have to go through it again. PRetty much you gotta besick for about 6 hours after you wake up. Prbly will still feel it a lil.
