Opioids Reducing Meds from Roxi 30s to Dillies..how much??

Hello all ..irst of all i want everyone to know i tried the F* search engine before posting this question..
ok..been on OCs and Roxi 30s for 5 years..trying to reduce and doing ok..problem is..Roxis for Legitimate pain patients are non-existant in Fl, unless you have the $x that the 1 pharmacy out of 30 i called has for a script of 180 tablets.8o..thats $x each from the Pharm.the only place that had em (wonder why).of course they dont take insurance..My regular Pharmacisist for the past 2 years said they are not sending him 30s anymore so i had to get em somewhere else...Hence the $x Place..UNfuckin believable..usually with my huge insurance payment my meds are $x ..i know..luckily i was able to scrape it up by not paying my bills this month and borrowing and begging.from friends...SUCKS

anyway next month i will have to have the doc move me to a different BT med since Im not a dealer and cant fork out that kinda cheese every month..so i was thinking of Dillaudid my pharmacist says he has it, but i dont know how many to ask for or take considering im on 1 op80 AND 3 30S A DAY...To the point what is the amount of 8mg dillies i will need to control my BT pain as if i were taking 3 30s????? thanks for all your help.and replies......Olskoolrollrz

Yeah if you just eat your dillies they are a waste. Even intranasaly they are not that great. Personally I like Opana the best for pain relief but also a waste if your are eating them but intranasaly they are fucking great for pain relief. And heres the BL opiate conversion chart that is very helpful and accurate.

thanks for the replies, but honestly i am trying to reduce my meds and within a month be down enough to go to subutex for a week or 2 and quit.everything ..so i guess the question is.

.would going from 30 mg roxis to 8 mg dillies..intranasel or oral .for now anyway never iv..be a good way to drop off 30s without so much unconfortableness keep in mind still taking 1 op80 per day as well...so looking to get off the 30s and switch to something that will sustain me but not put me in withdrawl......thanks again
 
^It doesn't make much of a difference. All of these are pretty much the same (some just more potent than other) and although there may be some incomplete cross tolerance basically just taking less of anything will accomplish what you want.
 
Morphine Sulphate Instant Release might fit the bill for this.... I think they come in 40mg dosage---that seems to me to be about equipotent to 30mgs of Oxy.

thanks Mike i guess i wasnt aware that Morphine came in ir form..and i hafta wonder if it is strong enough to do what 30s do..wonder why more folks dont take it
 
One 8mg Dilaudid is just slightly weaker than a 30mg Roxi, and they are way, way cheaper.

Hydromorphone has a 30-50%BA, so you are going to get 2.5-3.5mg of it into your system, lets assume 3mg, and it is 7-8x stronger than Morphine which is generally considered equipotent to Oxycodone, so it would be equivalent to like 24mg of oxycodone although it is somewhat shorter acting so you would probably need more pills in a day for BT pain, like maybe 4-5 instead of 3, and you might want to switch your long-acting med over too, although that's something to discuss with your doctor. I would ask to look into Opana ER, as a ER40 would be equal to an OP80, (if both taken orally).

I think it's because oxycodone is such a miraculous drug for pain relief (and fun) in both instant and time released versions. MSIR was very popular as was dilaudid when I was growing up (late 70's, 80's). Not to mention Purdue-Pharma's marketing masterpiece campaign.
 
Why not just go on methadone if your looking to quit anyways. Or why not just switch to taking less of your current medication. I wouldn't just stop it all at once and go on a new med.

Thank you..that is just the info that i am looking for..i have taken opana during last years Roxi shortage here in Fl last year or the year b4 i think and it just wasnt for me...as far as switching off the ops..they work great for me..1 lasts all day and ive recently had my PM doc reduce those for me......to the last poster..its not my choice..you just CANT get roxis in Fl anymore..i had the same pharmasist for 2 years and he always had em every month, and he said they are just not sending them to him anymore and i have searched far and wide....its just not worth the trouble for me..like i said Im reducing and going to sub soon anyways....thank you all for your help...greatly appreciated.........Olskoolrollrz
 
I aim to please.

The only reason I suggested Opana is because it is a little more compatible and very commonly seen with hydromorphone as a team for long term relief from OM, and breakthrough relief from the HM.

Anyways good luck, and have a good taper - don't be too proud to stop at a certain level if your pain gets bad.
 
thanks again muvolution for your advice and kindness....doin the best i can 5 years is too long to be a slave to the bottle and ive had it with all the negative shit that goes with being dependant on pain killers.........as they say cheers
 
i usually take 3 30mg roxys up the nose to have a good time, one time i had access to a bunch of 4mg hydromorphones and about 5-6 up the nose had the same effect on me as my usual oxy dose, with the obvious differences in certain side effects.
