red "sleeping tablets"

i recently was givin a bunch of red oblong tablets by a friend, he said they are sleeping tablets or something similar but he wasnt sure exactly, they are oblong shaped with a split and the letter "i" on one half of the split. has anyone encountered these before? my freind said he was told they are the tablets jimmy hendrix od'd on or something. i have been cautiotios to take these without knowing what they are so if anybody knows what they mite be i could read up about them, if not they r goin in the bin!

If thats the case, then he gave you a barbituate, secobarbital, look up secobarbital and see if it fits the description of said pills
peace and whatever you do DO NOT drink while on them, this is why Jimmy died well and he took 9 of them.

They are fine.

Try 150mgs the first time, you should be good.
Take no more than this for your first time!! It takes a while to kick in.

Yea they sound like a Barbiturate to me. I will also tell you to be very careful as their therapeutic and overdose margins are stupidly close together.
Definitely don't mix them with anything - Especially other CNS depressants! (Alcohol, Benzos, Z-Hypnotics etc.)

Go to drugs.com and look at their pill identifier. That thing has been very good to me when I got pills that I was unsure of. Plus, it'll give you all the info you need to know on the drug once you identified it. Good luck!
