My dreams have come true - this looks to be one incredible show in an incredible venue:

UNDERWORLD
RED ROCKS AMPHITHEATRE
September 11

Live Nation is pleased to announce that UNDERWORLD will perform at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Tuesday September 11th. Paul Oakenfold will open the show.
Showtime is 7:30 PM. Doors open at 6:00 PM.

Underworld is the principal name under which British electronic music duo Karl Hyde and Rick Smith have recorded since the late 1970s. The band is perhaps best known for two tracks, Underneath The Radar in 1988 and Born Slippy .NUXX, a track made popular in the hit 1996 Danny Boyle film Trainspotting.

Underworld are currently recording their fifth studio album, expected to be released in the autumn of 2007. A single from the new album should be released in spring 2007.
A full world tour is planned in 2007 in support of the new studio album.
Underworld recently completed the soundtrack to th! e upcoming Danny Boyle film, Sunshine, which should be released around the time of the film's release in spring 2007. The soundtrack is a collaboration with composer John Murphy.

Oakenfold is the DJ, remixer, and producer who did more than anyone else to break house music in Britain during the late '80s. During 1987-1988, Oakenfold hosted a series of crucial club nights that introduced thousands of Brits to house music. Just a few years later, he helped push the new dance crossover into the charts by masterminding hit productions by Happy Mondays (among others) and forming one of the most successful dance labels of the 1990s, Perfecto Records. Even well over a decade after his emergence, Oakenfold has remained, quite simply, dance music's most popular DJ.

holy shit, i might fly in to denver to stay with my dad and do this at the same time! Very nice, me and drew saw underworld in Chicago and was it was utterly amazing, truely a defining experience in my lifetime. I do not want to miss this ;)
 
I saw underworld years ago in chicago and it was the best show i have ever been to.
time to book a flight.

Afraid not Andy, (Mr. "I never post on BL anymore!! ;))...I'm actually headed back to the D for the Paxahau 9 year anniversary party. No details on that yet except that it's on Sunday September 30th. I'm sure the headliners will pwn though. Have fun out there!!! :)

Thanks for the memories....I used to live 10 minutes away from RR's and it is the most beautiful area ever. I mtn. biked, hiked, made love and listened to more bands than I can remember...
