im new here, and i just thought id throw in my two cents, if anyone knows anything other then what i should inform you about this "Red Rock Opium" then please tell me. I was told that Red Rock is a myth, and im starting to believe it. Me and one of my close friends both threw down about 300 bucks on the stuff and it turns out its all a fake. There is no such thing as Red Rock Opium. It is this stuff called Dragons Blood incense. I wasnt mad cause now im further informed and i just wanted everyone else to be too.

Red Rock is indeed a myth - Erowid.org did a big expose on the thing and bought a bunch of it and some dragon's blood incense. Results? Identical - and no psychoactive properties beyond what you'd expect from smoke inhalation and placebo.

So I guess the scam is just gonna have to go around full circle and you too can profit off of someone's ignorance. I hear if you heat a piece of metal, like somebody's snake and dagger knecklace pendant, and press it into the slab of incense, you can claim that it's 100% pure because it has the 'cartel seal'. What bastard would do something like that? I don't know.
 
Ehm, I would rather not encourage people to do this kind of thing - it is pure theft and makes people look foolish - might as well mug someone and paint a clownface on him...

Hey ketamike: that "cartel seal" thing was funny. I'd have a good laugh before I threw the person out of the nearest window.

I hope I didn't come across as some tough guy prick, but people who deal bogus drugs get NO MERCY from me.
 
yup 300 bux worth. i bought it off one of my friends who didnt know it was fake either cause he lost a tad bit more money then i did. but also when somthing seems to good to be true it probably is, and we got almost two pounds of it for 300 bux we thought it was the deal of a life time. oh well. im a strong believer in karma so the guy who screwed me and my friend will get his.
 
Well don't feel too bad, just cause 99% of the people here know about red rock doesn't mean that 99% of them know about that American opium is also a myth.

Don't fall for a big lump of black tar opium either... most of that shit is bought from the back of High Times ... but it can be even more popular than redrock

(sorry, just had to get that out:) ) Anyway, if you can, you should go back to whoever sold that to you and either get your money back, or beat the hell out of him...
 
In los angeles, there is a large persian (mainly iranian) community, and they circulate real cooked opium, most likely imported. Unfortunately, its mainly used by adults, so you need to find some kid who will steal from their parents/grandparents stash and sell it. If encountered this situation twice, and both provided real opium. I've also produced my own opium from homegrown pods, but i didnt cook it down. My tolerance now is too high to get any good results from opium use. Ive also had tar heroin presented to me as opium, which in my mind is not a bad thing. I know some idiots who have fallen for the red-rock thing, they even said they liked it ("it was real mellow").
 
Just to let u know 4 next time,opium is like a dark brown substance about the consistency of plasticine or blue-tack.Its dead sticky inside+sticks to everything,also kinda expands when u burn it leaving a funny ash.
Your better off making your own,or better still buy some morphine coz its the same active ingredient basically! alot easier.Be careful with morph tho coz its easy to OD on it. Max 40mg for non addicts.

Well, on a positive note, at least you now have close to 2 lbs of a fairly pleasant, (although quite expensive) incense. If you are stuck with it, you may as well use it as intended and see if you like it.

i was going to get some of it lat year but our dealer never came through. sad part is everyone thought it was real. including me
 
you can find real opium at festivals and in the recent dea microgram bulleton it talks of a rather large poppy field bust in Northern California
 
I doubt you will get real opium at phish lots, you will get something that was bought out of a high times magazine. As for that big poppy bust, I bet they would of made heroin with the opium if it wouldn't of gotten busted.
