you and I will always know
I just finished the game. I liked it and thought it was a nice western themed GTA style game. The story was decent and the gameplay is pretty fast paced. There are alot of guns in the game which is cool and ever a bullet time type of thing that comes in handy. If anyone had played Red Dead Revolver this game used it's quick draw duel mechanic which is done well but, perhaps a little too easily (I easily beat everyone I fought).

My only gripe is there are a few too many monotonous missions. I really didn't enjoy herding cattle the first time I was forced to do so and it was no better the fourth time either. Everything from breaking wild horses to protecting livestock or grain from wild animals happens way too often for my liking. By the end of the game it got really irritating.

Overall I liked the game and it's cast of characters. If you like GTA then you will surely like this game. The scenery is great to look at and the world is very interesting in general. I still like GTA4 more than this game because of the cars and the more populated areas but this is still the best western themed game I've played.

Lastly the ending is a little strange to figure out. If you haven't made it far and would like to figure it out for yourself then don't click
NSFW:
After John Marston dies you take control of his son Jack. He buries his mother and then...? Well it would seem like there's nothing left to do. In actuality you must ride to Blackwater and meet a stranger signified by the question mark at the entrance to town. This person will send you on a quest to kill your father's killer. After the duel with this man the credits finally roll and at that point I was glad to see em because IMO I never want to herd another herd of fucking cattle in a game again

Got it today, looking forard to road tripping it tomorrow :D

holy shit batman

game of the year for sure. i loved every damn second of this game. this is the first game that choked me up. i cant even find the words to do this game justice. 6 out of 5 stars all day long.

this game arrived in the post today i cant seem to find anybody online though? all the games are empty and theres nobody on free roam

not sure if i've just not played this enough, but found it kinda boring :\

this game was hell.
SOO WIDE AND EXPANSIVE.
cool for maybe 5 hours
then it becomes the worst dragg ever.
crossing the map on multiplayer was HELL.

god damn breaking horse crap. the camera spazzes out so the controls are shit. getting sick of this, and i'll only doing that first stallion.

my game time is my de-stress time before bed and this is making me rage. back to fucking fifa.

i had problems with it at the beginning too. the trick is that only one analog stick controls your balance and all you do is move it left or right (lol). just figure out which stick it is and concentrate on staying balanced on the horse, its just like grinding in a tony hawk game.
i do agree that its the worst part of that game though. keep at it, the rest of the game is well worth it. (of course, im not a huge rockstar vet, ive only ever played GTA 4 and this so everything was fresh to me)
