I have a friend that swears up and down that every time he takes his prescription Percocet that whenever he drinks anything with red #40 in it, it makes him feel more affected by it. I have looked around, but haven't seen anyone else bring this up. I was wondering if anyone has some insight into this.

Even if there is a correlation between consumption of Allura Red and the effects of opioids for your friend, there is certainly no causation.
