I bought some chloral hydrate about 15 years ago and did not like it at all and got rid of it.

This is the first time I ever came across Fluoral hydrate though.

Idk if it's any good but i'd be skeptical that a drug as cheap as this would actually be worth something special.

I think the first article said something about anti-fertility effects in rats so it's doubtful that there is any need to try it.

I know of a highly fluorinated sedative called midaflur. I'm guessing that can interest you more?

I think I flagged the 3-Phenylbutan-2-amine class. I think I originally spotted it in a French patent from the 60s. I'm informed that swappping that benzylic methyl side-chain for a methoxy i.e. a 'broken ring' analogue of phenmetrazine is almost identical to phenmetrazine in animal models. Now I don't know if they were ever fully explored but as a fellow BLer noted 'the rats loved it'.

I'm always tempted to add a labile moiety so that metabolism becomes far simpler.
