Mating two actives isn't a new idea. It's been around since the 1960s at least. I would argue that the fixed-ratio is more problematic than the problem it seeks to solve i.e. a patient taking 2 pill instead of one. Certainly it deprives a doctor of the ability to appropriately titrate the dose of each medication.

So the ONLY winner is going to be whomever invented it. I was actually offered a job as a drugs rep and asked the simple question 'if I know that another medication is better, how can I in all honestly push whatever my employer is pushing?'. So I decided I had no wish to be part of the problem.

Here though the medicinal design I posted is 1 drug instead of 2 so it could be thought to offer a unique pharmacological opportunity.

I might post David Wong on the idea but I don't want to disturb him as he is a VIP.
