I read something in one of Janssen's old books that esters like this are hard to form and easily dissociate. That is the chief reason why they developed propoxyphene instead.
 
MPH & Bounce Are Somewhat Hard To Make I Guess, But They Are Quite Stable. There Was Also A Ritalin (mph) Analogue With 2 Phenyls Instead Of 1 Phenyl & 1 R-CO2Me That Is Supposed To Be Good. It Was Called DPMP. I Tried It Once, But Only Had 10 mg And Didn't Get Off.
