Rectally-administered ketamine—why is it strong for some and weak for others?

So I am talking with someone who says that he has plugged ketamine numerous times with great results. He claims that 60mg rectal is comparable to 150mg insufflated.

Then I came across this link on Reddit where a bunch of people say it’s worth it because it worked well.

i am wondering why this discrepancy exists. Any input?

I was thinking that *maybe* different brands or batches have varying pH’s to account for varying anal absorption.
